For the final chapter of our 350th Anniversary of the City and 250th Anniversary of our Country, we will be assembling another Time Capsule to be opened in the future.

As part of the project we have put together a preliminary list of items suggested to be place in the new time capsule.

Please let us know if you have any other ideas for inclusion in the Time Capsule by posting a comment.

This should be a fun historic project for the entire City of Derby. We hope you can help.

The Superior Court got it's Derby 350th history plaque today with this august group of judges on hand to share a few words along with a relative of two Derby Hall of Famers.

We're pleased that the Derby 350th Historical Plaque has been installed at the Valley's longtime favorite swimming spot on the Housatonic River - The Recreation Camp in Derby. The plaque tells some of the story of 100+ years of fun and safety. Camp Director Michael Drew and Board Chairman John Rak are shown with the plaque which is one of 10 made possible by grants from the Valley Community Foundation.

There's also a lot more Derby History on the Hall of Fame bricks on the Plaza surrounding the National Humane Alliance Fountain. In fact, there are 72 people who have fascinating stories as local, state, national and even international figures.
