Beltaine: A Pagan Odyssey Festival IT’S NOT JUST A FESTIVAL, IT’S A SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE! This festival is educational, spiritual and a chance to experience community at its finest.

Camping is permitted, and encouraged so that attendees do not miss any part of the festival, which has been described by many as a true experience. Beltaine: A Pagan Odyssey, is Connecticut’s oldest Pagan festival, and it is hosted by the Panthean Temple, which was founded in 1995. Although the event is hosted by the Panthean Temple, the

festival is purely community driven; our guest speakers, volunteers and participants come from many local temples, organizations, and covens throughout Connecticut, the Northeast and beyond! We bring together people from many varying traditions within the Wiccan, Pagan, and Earth-Based spiritual communities. The community at large makes this huge festival possible for our small temple and your participation is welcomed. Beltaine is a celebration the arrival of the summer months, also known as May Day. We celebrate with a bonfire, all night drumming, ceremonies and a Maypole dance. There will also be children’s activities, hay rides, fire spinning, vendors, readers and healers. There will be well-known teachers, leaders and elders in attendance for lectures, hands on workshops and classes. Concerts with a wide variety of music are planned. http://www.PantheanTemple.us

ALL classes are FREE on a variety of topics (over 80). By dedicating yourself to your Craft, you can work towards becoming stronger in your practice. The subject on August 27th is Beginning Spellwork. Classes are held on Thursdays at 8 pm EST (New York Time). They are ONLY taught LIVE, not recorded, and are on an intermediate level. You do not need to live in Connecticut to join us.

Celebrated around August 1, Lughnasadh is an ancient Gaelic festival marking the beginning of the harvest season. It is a time to honor the earth, give thanks for what has grown, and recognize the first quiet signs that summer is beginning to fade.

Traditionally connected to Lugh and the memory of his foster mother Tailtiu, the festival was once celebrated with feasts, games, music, gatherings, and offerings of the first fruits.

May your harvest be abundant, your spirit remain wild, and your path through the changing season be filled with mystery and light.
