As a reminder or, if you are just visiting for the first time, welcome. The following just sums up (please scroll down for mini portfolio) my history and designs.

I’ve always had a passion for the arts, fashion, beautiful stylish things and unique vintage items. I have a diverse background with training and my work experience. I’m a published author of two poems. I’ve created, sewn and modeled my own fashions which, I’m looking to get back into. Regarding this business, I’ve hand painted custom glassware, canvas, wood (sold or given as gifts). I’ve been involved in various fundraisers (donations and or in person). I’m sure I’m leaving out a great deal of what I’ve done and what I’d like to accomplish. I’ve also taught several classes (various locations).

I’ve tried to morph the business, even experiment with different names for my business. I’ve had some success with help behind the scenes and thought I’d be setting up shop in several locations. Well all of it has been a huge learning experience BUT…I haven’t given up. I’m persistent!

Prior to covid hitting, I changed the name and merged the business calling it, “Joanie’s Unique Boutique”. In the meantime I also became an, “essential worker”. The combination has been (to be honest and hope this doesn’t hurt me by admitting this)…it’s become challenging to say the least. So, I’m literally back to the drawing board. Gradually getting on waiting lists for a location and clearing up my current business page so it looks professional but also a brief reflection of myself. So, fast forward to this moment, I decided to make a mini portfolio prior to the merger (please see pictures below).

Some of these pictures are, starting with…my early days of winning “States” for 4-H. I made my first dress and second time modeling it at Newark Airport. Next set is my backyard (my home tiki bar hang out). I did have help starting that. The rest are classes I taught, fundraising events, custom designs and much more. Please check out my inside out glass and the bottoms painted.

A Year in Review: No matter how challenging 2019 was, I still need to count my blessings, thanking those beautiful smiling, satisfied faces at our events. I want to thank my customers, followers, fans and the support of my small but powerful Team J C, my sister Marie (so supportive, helpful behind the scenes) and husband John (financial advisor and accountant, always supportive). To those that had total respect and interest in this evolving business, I can't thank you enough. Behind the Scenes: When I'm not creating, I'm rearranging, recycling and decorating on a dime. I love creating a look and much more. I believe a room must have a feel to it. This year, I created an inviting, comfy, old fashion Christmas. My house and guest room is ready. I love having the house organized. I'm considering running a contest (haven't decided yet) that will invite a few followers to come and create or create an item and ship it to the winner. I'll announce more details later. You'll need to stay tuned. Thoughts regarding a contest...?

Before digging into projects today, I'm taking time to prepare my Samaritan's Purse Christmas Child box. Also, cards and notes to our two sponsor children. This isn't bragging or look what I do but with hope to encourage others to do the same.
