Just had the most enchanting 2-week remote artist residency at - no service or WiFi in my cute little cabin in the woods was divine. I happened to be reading My Friends and Reviving Ophelia thanks to a recommendation from a friend, which were most fitting (and then returned to reality to hear this absolute bop). I feel enlivened, replenished. (Hard to reintegrate though let me tell you). Walked every trail on the property, started and finished a new sketchbook, got to drape my quilted paintings in an impromptu collaboration, made some new paintings on paper and new friends, was brought back to life in the creek and the sauna, read every night, got me some soul pong, and listened to the sounds of silence. So thankful for all the incredible artists and writers I had the honor of spending time with over delightful meals and conversations, to Mary Crovatt Hambidge’s vision and all the staff for making it all possible 🪵
