🏢✨ Every building has a story. Ours has quite a few!

Built in 1927, the building at 965 Santa Fe Drive has stood through decades of change in Denver’s La Alma/Lincoln Park neighborhood. Originally, the building housed Harry's Motors, a motorcycle sales and repair shop that operated until 2005.

Today, it’s home to the Center for Visual Art (CVA), where conversations around social issues and community engagement through contemporary art take center stage.

🦋 What if the things we throw away could come back as something wonderful? ♻️✨

On view through Saturday 10/24, Sequesterings features monumental artwork created from intercepted plastic pollution by 10 contemporary artists. Discover how discarded materials become powerful works of art—and leave inspired to rethink what’s possible.⁠
⁠
Natalya Khorover stitches single-use plastics, food wrappers, and vintage linens into delicately rendered collages of line and form. Her community-rooted practice transforms neighborhood trash into treasured relics, revealing the beauty and possibility that can emerge through environmental action. 🧵✨⁠

Calder Kamin transforms everyday plastics—from marker caps and Easter eggshells to sleds and shopping bags—into fantastical sculptures inspired by flora and fauna. 🌿🦋 Using community-donated plastic and trash, Kamin reshapes discarded materials into beautifully textured creatures and plants that turn waste into a source of enduring optimism.

Together, their work invites us to look closer at what we leave behind—and imagine what it could become.
