Thank you, Denver.

We’re still reflecting on the two nights with and at

Thank you for bringing a level of energy and musicianship that carried seamlessly from set to set, for creating moments that felt continuous rather than contained and for shaping an atmosphere that stayed with the room throughout.

What makes this festival special is the depth of local talent, music culture and live venues in Denver. It’s what allows the music to carry from room to room and what elevates this into something more than a typical jazz festival. It’s something we’re continuing to build on as we look ahead towards next year.

Those were truly two special nights and we’re grateful to have shared them with all of you here in Denver.

Before the doors open, this is what it looks like.

Bob James at soundcheck, refining the details that most people never get to see.

“…Bob James is to jazz what James Brown is to R&B — the music and the musicians go hand in hand.”

Discovered by Quincy Jones, James built a career that spans decades, from CTI sessions with artists like Grover Washington Jr. and Hubert Laws to more than 50 albums under his own name.

A defining force in groove-driven jazz, founder of Fourplay, and widely recognized as one of the most sampled artists in hip-hop history, his influence reaches far beyond the genre.

Tonight, that legacy comes to the stage.

An intimate performance with an international quartet featuring Ukrainian saxophonist .

And his first Denver appearance as a bandleader in over 40 years.

An intimate room, a world-class musician and a moment no one expected.

was deep into his solo set at Classic Pianos, exploring the music of Miles Davis and his own “Invisible Piano” project with a level of touch and space that only comes from experience.

Then everything shifted.

A surprise performance by Denver legend brought the room to a different place entirely.

Moments like this don’t get scheduled.
They happen live, in the room and then they’re gone.

And it doesn’t stop there.

Beasley returns with Unlimited Miles: Miles at 100, leading an all-star ensemble through a completely different side of the music.
