Denver has bookstores. It has coffee shops. It has bars.

What it doesn’t have is a permanent home for horror writers, fans, and those who love the macabre, the gothic, the terrifying, and the uncanny.

Broom Book & Candle will be a bookstore, café, beer and wine bar, and gathering place for readers and writers who find solace in unsettling stories. It will be a place to connect with other horror lovers, discover dark literature, hear from favorite authors, and meet the incredible writers working right here in our community.

Come escape after a long day, surround yourself with the smell of books, and enjoy a strong latte, fragrant tea, or glass of wine. Find witchy, gothic, and slasher-inspired books, gifts, and oddities.

There will be something for younger readers, too, with story times and a “Books Are Magic” children’s area designed to spark imagination and nurture an early love of wonderfully strange stories.

We have the space and the plan. Now we need a little lightning from you. ⚡️
