HOUSTON: Come meet the artist! I will be in the Frida:Making of the Icon exhibit gift shop tonight (not the main gift shop, the one off of the exhibit) to share my fiber art and answer questions. I have a piece in the Fridamania section of the exhibit and my embroidery was featured in the documentary Friday:That Girl Doesn’t Go Away! Which screened yesterday and Thursday. I’d love to meet fellow Frida fans!

HOUSTON! Come out Friday, May8, 7:30 to the MFAH to views sneak peek in-progress showing of Trisha Ziff’s documentary “Frida:The Girl Just Doesn’t Go Away”! The film is excellent and I’m in it! So is my work! And the eyes in the poster are my blackwork Frida embroidery hoop. Amazing experience!

HAPPY SPRING! GARLAND SALE: Snapdragon will be participating in the upcoming May 1st MAYDAY protest (I will put my Etsy shop on vacation mode for that day). So, to celebrate the lead up to this mass action, I'm running a one week sale on my bird garlands! 20% between April 23 and April 30. I’ve been working on some new Frida hoops inspired by the piece that was acquired by the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. They will be for sale on Sunday at Horseshoe’s International Women’s Day craft fair! Get a in-person pricing on these new Fridas! Come on down to The Arch in the Rhino Arts District on 3/8 from 10-4 and browse great art, support women artists, and enjoy music and good food. Looking forward to seeing folks there!
