Flux Tips #1: Before you dump your clay bucket...

You never know what you’re going to find. 😅

Before we recycle clay, every bucket gets poured through a spark screen. It’s a simple step that saves ribs, trimming tools, sponges... and apparently a few “very expensive” tools too. 😉

Once everything is rescued, the clay is blended, and spread onto plaster slabs until it’s ready for the mixers

Just another day in the studio.

A lot has happened at Flux over the last month.
We’ve wrapped up our second session in the new studio, gone through nearly 1,500 pounds of clay, filled shelves with fresh work, opened Open Studio Memberships, and launched Drop-In Sessions for anyone looking to try pottery without committing to a full session.
Most importantly, we’re finally starting to feel at home in our new space after years of renovations and preparation.
This week we’re busy getting everything ready to glaze next week, before our next session begins July 6.
Registration for all upcoming wheel throwing and handbuilding classes opens Sunday, June 21 at 10 AM.
We can’t wait to welcome another group of makers into the studio.

We are working hard to fire all the pieces from last month. We have fired 4 kilns so far. Looking like it will be 10 loads in total. Your pots are looking great, and I am excited for you to see them!
