Gion Oyado Kikutani is an amazing midrange Ryokan hotel in Kyoto. It is 5 min from Gion district & 10 min from the subway. Very clean & quiet, with amazing amentities and food. Highly recommend!

A little about Téa - she is a fashion model and was excited about an opportunity to dress and at the way she wanted at a shoot. I wanted everyone involved to pick their own look and express themselves in whatever way they felt comfortable- as much or as less clothes as they wanted.
We took her boyfriend’s Subaru to a parking garage and got creative (one of a few cars we didn’t trespass on). Téa has said that since this shoot she has felt more confident in herself and says this project and concept has brought out the inner baddie.
I saw a post about confidence the other day, and how this concept we sort of made up for ourselves. It’s a very western belief. Does a droplet of water worry about the confidence to roll off a leaf? Does a flower think it’s prettier than the flower next to it? No… not really, confidence has become almost a survival tactic in this world. Most of the time it’s a fake it till you make it thing, and most people who might seem confident in themselves don’t even really believe it… while others might have a little too much lol. However, I think, to me, this project is about owning yourself and accepting yourself with where you’re at in life. Weight and money and relationships can fluctuate, but it’s about the way you are patient and accepting with what you have- regardless of where you are in that journey. You’re not always going to be where you want to be at your moment you want it… you have to accept yourself before you get there (and trust me, I struggle with this too).
At this point, if Rihanna can have her bare ass tummy hanging out and rock it, then I should be able to as well (pregnancy or not). So whether confidence is a bull s**t western concept or a very real struggle for you - just try to own where you are right now. Odds are it doesn’t really matter to anyone but you, and you’re prob doing better than you think. Go off!!

If you’ve watched my story the past few days, I’m up to something new. PIMP MY PROFILE is a new endeavor I’m taking on, in where I help dudes with their dating app profile pics. Kind of like for , i want to help you pimp your profile by getting more natural, relatable photos for guys. I know it’s hard to ask! But vulnerability is a great strength.

There’s a growing epidemic in the dating app profile world of dudes with old photos, someone holding something dead (I.e. fish or deer), you at a wedding 5 years ago, and then maybe your niece or daughter who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️
Anyway, I want to help. I know how it is when you don’t feel confident, or good about yourself based on perceived appearance, or due to unhealthy comparison. I got into photography cause the way I capture people made them feel better, comfortable, and more confident with themselves. The way I wish I could have felt growing up. A good photo can change you, it can make you see what others see, and therein accept yourself a little easier.

If we live in a “seeing is believing” world then visuals can be powerful. If a picture is worth a thousand words, what are the after affects of increased confidence worth?

It’s November now, the new month is always a good time to think and reflect, especially as we are getting close to the end of the year and beginning to wrap up 2017. Crazy! What have you realized about yourself this year? Last month? Yesterday? There’s always something within you to dive into, reassess, and to appreciate. This year I met Frankie Vignone, a fitness and health enthusiast with a passion for helping people find a way to carry out a better life both in your daily routine and while on the go. He mostly helps business men find better ways to stay healthy, workout, and make better choices; however his live feed and updates help everyone who follows him (including myself). He’s definitely got a bright personality and a talent for motivating the inner ‘you’ - I should know, he’s inspired and helped me as well. Today I’m reflecting on the choices we make: from food, to movement, to career - it’s all interwoven. My birthday is this month and I’ll be 30, so it’s definitely a good time to start thinking about changes. One thing I keep realizing every time I travel further and further from home is that humans are essentially the same no matter what. We all have our neurosis, talents, insecurities, and that strange sense of wonder. We all want to see the unknown and bask in the fact that we made it. "Will you take my picture?" Yah man, of course. You made it. And so did I.
