Mistakes can be so much more than a “failure” if you let em. early on in this painting I accidentally hit the canvas with blue paint in a place I originally planned on being bright and fleshy- it was frustrating.
-being so intentional with every step, just for a random act to throw a wrench in my plans, and in the moment?-
It felt infuriating, my brain wanted to start overthinking telling me it was ruined- but in reality?
It’s literally a tiny blue line lol
Why get so upset over restrictions I’ve put on myself- Does the space HAVE to be exactly what I originally planned? No, and you know what? Having to be forced to think outside the box, created something I love so much more than if it was exactly what I imagined.
Although a small silly little thing, this reminded me- mistakes are necessary, and they happen all the time. It’s what you do with them and how you pivot that matters.
