Big news in the world of Other Rooms! We decided after 7 years of consistent ArtPartying we are going to make it official official

In March of 2025 we’re getting married

What started as a waltz on Pearl Street will now continue into a lifetime of songs and dance, and we’re SO STOKED

Big thanks to everyone who has been part of our journey so far

We got engaged in Honduras back in April on the 18th!

To be totally honest, one of the first questions family members asked us when we told them about the bus was, “what are you going to do for work?” And honestly we just kind of thought getting remote jobs and doing creative work was going to be simple and relatively straight forward. Fast forward 3.5 months and we can say we were totally wrong about that. Yeah, we’ve gotten some work doing photography and has been playing some shows and getting some session work, but it’s nowhere near enough for us to handle the price of diesel and our monthly overhead. So, our recent days have been spent handling financial anxiety and trying to find those online remote jobs that would give us the freedom we were hoping for. If have any ideas or jobs in mind/ events you need photographed/ music you need composed for any performances or dances, music videos made, or photos edited, feel free to let us know. We feel pretty open to the possibilities at this point ❤️⚡️

One of the primary reasons we built the bus was so we could bring our art adventures to more places, engage with more communities, and find inspiration wherever we venture. The bus was never the main intention, just another vehicle to carry us to our goal of being centered everywhere with a circumference nowhere.

We got lucky enough to photograph and run sound for our dear friend birthday last weekend at in Gainesville Florida. A bunch of the Gainesville famous powerhouses were there. The afternoon was spent listening to music by the Eriksen Quartet, and .

It was so fun to be a part of the party and capture it.

Last time we were in Gainesville we were lucky enough to be in town the same time as . We were able to get together on some magical land and get a shoot happening. We’ve been looking to get into more creative projects together, using art to propel our nomadic adventures into the future, so movement photography and video is high on the list. Bailey offered direction and organization for the shoot while Nicholas was on the shutter. The editing process was collaborative with finals getting approved by the both of us. We even got .nomadica up on the Lyra!

Here’s a few favorites from the shoot

Go check out , she’s one of our favorites to work with. Her movement comes from a place of intention with plenty of room to grow. Her process is playful and magical as she drifts through postures with the intent to experiment through transitions. The results are whimsical yet solid. These were a delight to edit.

This week was funny getting back to the east coast of Florida. Spring break was in full force and so was the police presence. For the first time we got woken up by cops and told to move otherwise we were getting a ticket. The next day, again woken up and told we weren’t aloud to be where we were, only to be met by cops later on that day being told that they knew we had camped around and that if they found us again we would get a trespass. The bus is big and doesn’t do quite enough to disappear in the Florida suburban “wild”.

So this is how we’re feeling

Some of the only plans we made for this leg of the trip was to meet up with and go for an airboat ride on the Miccosuckee reservation. For 20 bucks each we rode on a private boat out into glades, pet a 60 year old gator named Mama, scared plenty of birds, and saw some of the dwellings that were built as hideouts.

It was incredible (and nauseating) to hear how the Miccosukee tribes were members of different tribes that came together and ran into the Everglades to avoid the violence being offered to them by the colonizers running wild throughout Florida in the 1860’s.

They built huts in the swamps and stayed hidden, keeping track of the different animals that they shared a home with. Florida has been rich with beauty and reminders of a dark and violent past.

We had plans to meet with family in Naples, but most of the city of Naples didn’t seem too friendly to stealth camping. We started to make our way down the Tamiami trail and found a river access that had an open lot. We slept by the loudest bug sounds we’ve heard so far and woke to a swampy paradise.

We rode until our thighs couldn’t hold on to the bike any longer. When we got off the bike the ground gave way underneath our boots. It was one of the first times on our trip in Florida that we felt like we were out in the wild. So much of the state has been bought up, requiring payment to be in nature. Out here we were free with only the threat of panthers and snakes keeping us in line.

We got lucky enough to catch the Everglades when it wasn’t too hot or too cold. Bug sounds filled the air but only came out to devour the flesh of humans for an hour or so before sun rise and after sun set. The quiet in the brush was ominous, snake fears a plenty.

A big highlight for us was to make it down to the Everglades. We parked the bus at and rode the down muddy and rocky roads. We got about six miles in before we stopped to take some photos and enjoy the setting sun.
