love this concept i saw from about shopping this christmas!

i always look forward to the holidays & i get so excited to give my loved ones thoughtful gifts. it's like a fun challenge to try to express my love in a unique way!

what i don't love is our capitalistic hellscape on full display when there is so much pressure to just buy & buy & buy. the financial expectation & all of the waste really overlwhelms me 😧

f**k amazon, f**k jeff bezos. f**k walmart, f**k fast fashion. honestly! i know we live in a society so dependent on these monoliths that it's truly so hard to break away & no judgement for anybody's choices. i know so many of us are limited in our shopping choices due to finances, necessity & so many other reasons.

BUT i love this challenge to aim for half of your gift giving this season to be handmade!! there are so many amazing small & local shops+artists who are struggling right now & are so much more deserving of your holiday shopping, plus the offerings are way more awesome!

of course making your own homemade gifts is my personal favorite way to go! thrift shops are always full of treasures & other gift ideas could be repairing or upgrading an item for a loved one! ❤💚

the idea started in ben siekierski's studio while looking with utter fascination at his monster creations & daydreaming about who would care for such creatures. i enlisted the help of my beautiful friend madison flowers & her brother to give a heartbeat to these monster wranglers, with production help by bee hankins. the set was then sent off to morgan york & i had the extraordinary privilege to have her lend her imagination to give this story a voice.

sinisteria is whimsical, mysterious & bound to leave you with goosebumps.
