Initiative 109 – School and College Sports
Would require students to compete on school and college sports teams based on their s*x assigned at birth instead of their gender identity. It would apply to K–12 schools and colleges across Colorado.
Initiative 110 – Gender-Affirming Surgeries for Minors
Would prohibit certain gender-affirming surgeries for minors and prohibit public funding and insurance coverage for those procedures.
It’s also worth noting that Colorado’s major children’s hospitals have said they do not currently perform these surgeries on minors, a point that has become central to the public debate surrounding this measure.
