We wanted this song to feel like a swamp-soul fever dream...

Like Pink Floyd drifting through Louisiana at midnight.

Spacey textures.
Hypnotic groove.
Deep-pocket soul.

Honestly, this may be one of the moodiest things we've ever released.

Some people stay too long because they need proof.

We ignore our instincts.

We talk ourselves out of what we already know.

“Rabbit One” is about that moment you stop doing that.

The moment you trust yourself enough to leave.

June 19th.

“I wish I was a bird...
Cuz birds can fly.”

“I wish I was a rabbit...
Cuz rabbits can run.”

The birds and rabbits in this song were never meant to be literal.

They're about instinct.

A bird doesn’t wait around to say goodbye.

A rabbit doesn’t debate danger.

They just move.

That’s what “Rabbit One” is about.

Instinct.

Some songs are written.

Some songs arrive like instinct.

“Rabbit One” is a spacey, hypnotic swamp-soul track about leaving before the damage lands… trusting the feeling that tells you it’s time to go.

There are moments in life where your body knows the truth before your mind catches up. This song lives in that space.

Only truly funk people know what’s up….

💙🐴 WOW. We are absolutely humbled by the love shown on Giving Tuesday! 🐴💙

Because of your incredible generosity, we have already reached over HALF of our winter giving goal — and that is nothing short of amazing. Every donation, every share, every word of encouragement is helping us head into the cold months with hope in our hearts and hay in the barn.

But the season isn’t quite covered yet…
Our final push is next Tuesday for Colorado Gives Day, and the needs ahead are big:
🌾 Winter hay to keep bellies full
🩺 Upcoming vet and farrier visits
💊 Ongoing medications for our cherished aging seniors who depend on daily care

This next week is where your continued support will truly carry us through winter. If you’re able to give a little more, or share our mission with friends and family, you’ll be directly helping ensure that every horse in our care stays warm, healthy, and loved all season long.

From the bottom of every hoof and heart — thank you for standing with us. Let’s finish strong together. 💙
