Featuring Boston Brass and Imani Winds
This show is a collaboration between Boston Brass and Imani Winds in their own arrangements of Miles Davis’ and Gil Evans’ legendary studio albums Porgy and Bess (1958) and Sketches of Spain (1960).

CHRISTINA JENNINGS is the first flutist in 15 years to win the prestigious Concert Artists Guild International Competition. She is praised as an extraordinary musician.

Christina Jennings and Jonathan Leathwood, both consummate masters of their respective instruments, present a delightfully varied program of virtuosic and fascinating works by composers ranging from Castelnuovo-Tedesco and Villa-Lobos to Piazzolla’s sizzling Histoire du Tango, and the ravishingly lovely Snow Dreams by our own Joan Tower.
