Join us at My Bloody Valentine on February 1 from 12 PM – 5 PM at TWS Event Center. This is an 18+ event and the perfect place to reunite with us in person.

Darkness Cosmetics is officially under new ownership, and we're thrilled to carry the torch into a bold new era of haunted beauty and gothic glamour. While we’ll be expanding our cosmetics line with exciting new creations, we’re also keeping some of the beloved Mile High FX favorites you know and love. As part of this evolution, the Mile High FX name will now be officially retired.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks and well wishes to Mike as he embarks on his next chapter. We’re incredibly honored that he trusted us to carry forward the spirit of what he created.

✨ And that’s not all...

We’re proud to introduce our sister brand: Darkness Apothecary — a curated collection of all-natural skincare, handcrafted aromas, botanical perfumes, and ritual body care designed to nourish both skin and spirit.

Dear Friends, Supporters, and Customers,

It is with both gratitude and heavy hearts that we announce the closure of our Denver studio. As of mid-August, Darkness Cosmetics & Mile High FX will transition to online-only sales.

This decision was not made lightly. Since our founding in 2002, we’ve been proud to lead with innovation, creativity, and integrity—becoming the first company to achieve Leaping Bunny certification and the only brand to produce a body marbling kit using FDA-approved ingredients. These milestones are part of a legacy we deeply treasure and will never forget.

However, the landscape has changed dramatically. The rising cost of materials, declining sales, and an oversaturated market full of white label imports from China have made it impossible to continue operating at our current scale. It’s clear that in order to survive—and one day, thrive again—we need to downscale every part of our operations.

To mark this transition, we will be holding a company-wide clearance sale beginning mid-August, where all in-stock items will be deeply discounted. This is your chance to stock up on your favorite products before they're gone, and to help us clear the shelves for what’s next.

We may be closing one chapter, but we’re not done writing the story. We don’t know exactly what the future holds—but we’re hopeful. We’re inspired. And we’d love for you to stand by us and see where we go next.

Thank you for more than two decades of support, creativity, and community. We wouldn’t have made it this far without you.

As a friendly reminder, once your package is in the hands of UPS, FedEx or USPS it's out of our control. We have the same exact updates screen as you.

Especially for international packages, we have no control over customs either. Why some packages fly through and others sit we have no idea why. There's no one we can call to "push" it through.

Messages of "where is it?" Will be responded with the tracking link and the phone number to UPS/FedEx/USPS and the general unanswered number for CBP.

Excessive messages, angry messages and threats (yeah we're at this level over makeup products) will result in you being banned from being a future customer.

We are still at least a week out on reopening from the flood we suffered. Once we reopen we will begin shipping again. Thank you to all our patient customers waiting for shipments to take place.
