Howard Harris

Howard Harris US artist Howard Harris mixes photography and design.

The philosophical basis for Harris' work is partly the study of quantum physics and chaos theory, in particular the proposition that the observer always influences what is observed.

My work often exists in spaces where people do not expect to encounter art. I’m interested in how an image can interrupt a moment, attract attention naturally, and create presence within an environment without needing explanation. Whether through scale, contrast, texture, or composition, I want the work to hold its own and pull the eye toward it.

At the same time, some of my pieces are presented in more conventional settings, where the focus becomes more direct and intentional. Even there, my interest remains the same: creating work that commands attention, generates reaction, and establishes a strong visual presence within the space around it.

You’ll probably always see me with a camera in my hands, constantly moving, observing, and capturing the moments, people, and environments that inspire me. Photography is a huge part of my life, and I genuinely love talking about what I create and the stories behind my work. I’m always looking for real emotion, natural energy, and images that feel honest and alive.

Photography has connected me with incredible people and unforgettable experiences that continue to shape my perspective and creativity. I enjoy working in different settings, adapting to new ideas, and finding meaningful details through my lens. Creating images is something I care deeply about, and I’m always pushing myself to grow and evolve as an artist.

Color and perspective guide the way I build each image. I work with tonal shifts, precision, and layered structure to create depth and expand how each piece is perceived. My process blends photography, design, and technology to offer a clear and intentional visual experience.

Through this approach, I aim to highlight how small visual decisions can change the entire impact of an artwork. By adjusting color relationships and refining perspective, I focus on creating images that feel structured, intentional, and visually engaging. My goal is to let each piece stand on its own, guided by clarity, balance, and a strong sense of design.

I’m always looking for new ways to share my artwork, achievements, and the projects I’ve worked on. This time, I wanted to present the pieces that are currently available for sale as if you were walking through an exhibition, so you can take a closer look at them, take your time, and enjoy them differently.

I enjoy finding different ways to present my work because I like creating unique experiences around my artwork. Seeing everything presented this way allowed me to bring together pieces I’ve wanted to share for a long time and give them a space where they could truly be appreciated differently.

I want to invite you to explore a selection of my artwork with me.

Through each piece, I’ve explored different compositions, colors, textures, and ways of creating images with personality and visual impact.

My process has always been driven by curiosity and the desire to continue developing new ideas through my work. Some pieces are more intense, others more subtle, but all of them are part of my journey as an artist and the way I approach visual storytelling.

I always enjoy seeing how every viewer connects with the work in their own way and discovers different details within each piece.

What happens when technology also becomes a form of artistic expression?

Through Techspressionism, I found a way to connect photography, visual art, and human emotion with the digital culture we experience every day. My work comes from that connection between creativity, identity, imagery, and technology, always from a personal and contemporary perspective.

I’ve had the opportunity to exhibit my work several times at Agora Gallery and to speak publicly about what I’m passionate about and what I do professionally as an artist and visual creator. Sharing these experiences has allowed me to connect with people who enjoy art from new perspectives.

I hope you enjoy the video, the ideas behind the work, and the opportunity to see my artwork through a different perspective.

What makes an image stay with you long after you’ve seen it?

I don’t create images just to be seen. I create them to make you stop, look twice, and want to discover more. Every detail, every composition, and every story I share is meant to spark curiosity and create a real connection.

These images speak for themselves. They invite you into a world of art, stories, emotion, and perspective that feels impossible to ignore.

This is what I want you to experience when you see the works in my Abstraction gallery.

I want you to enter a state where the outside noise loses importance, and your attention stays completely inside the image. Every piece is created to lead you into an immediate, intense, and physical emotional experience. I do not want you to observe from a distance. I want you to feel involved.

I want you to feel movement, tension, depth, and energy in every composition. There are layers, contrasts, and forms that shift depending on how long you stay with the work. At times, the piece may create calm. At other moments, it may awaken unease, strength, momentum, or contemplation. The experience changes with you.

I want your eyes to move slowly through every detail, discovering visual textures, empty spaces, rhythms, and points of intensity. These works are created to produce a personal and emotional connection where every person finds something different within the same visual space.

In this gallery, I work with abstraction as an immersive experience. Color, form, and composition create atmospheres that transform perception and alter the feeling of space. My intention is for you to disconnect from the ordinary for a few moments and enter a completely sensory experience.

If there’s one thing that never misses a trip with me, it’s definitely my camera. It has become an essential companion in the way I experience and share the world around me. Through it, I can preserve moments, emotions, landscapes, and details that continue to live on long after time has passed.

I see photography as a way of holding onto experiences that happen in a single instant and can never be repeated in exactly the same way again. My camera allows me to keep memories, connections, and meaningful experiences alive through images that will always stay with me.

It is also the way I express my artistic vision and the way I observe nature, light, and emotion. Through Techspressionism, I create images that combine art, technology, and feeling from a very personal perspective and unique point of view.

My galleries are a reflection of everything that inspires me and everything I want to share through my work. From Animals, Visions, Cityscape, Political, Abstraction, and Landscapes, every image has a personal meaning for me, while at the same time allowing each person to connect with it in their own way.

Through texture, expression, colors, shapes, light, and movement, I create pieces that invite different emotions and interpretations.

I love exploring contrast, detail, and diversity in every collection. Some works are bold and intense, others feel calm and reflective, but all of them are part of the same artistic vision. The variety in these galleries allows me to experiment freely and share different perspectives through photography and art.

My grandmother bought me my first camera, and that’s when I discovered that moments could stay intact through an image. I remember how fascinated I was by everything a photograph could communicate: emotions, memories, energy, and stories that words sometimes can’t fully explain.

That was the beginning of this journey for me, and I’ve never stopped feeling that same excitement for creating images and capturing moments worth remembering.

This Mother’s Month makes me reflect on where it all began.
