We’re excited to unveil “All Things in Nature are Kindred,” a new site-responsive installation by artist Vanessa Platacis for Kindred Resort! This 450-square-foot mural journeys from gemstones to wildflowers to mountain vistas, with a shifting composition on either side of that passageway that rewards a second look. The artist also has three wood panel works in the space, complementing the mural and encouraging further exploration from guests.

Vanessa shared that she “left a piece of her heart at Kindred” with this one. 💕 we’re sure grateful you did, and we’re honored to have helped bring this work to life!

📣 Calling Colorado teaching artists...

A new public art project is taking shape at Fitzsimons Innovation Community, and we’re looking for a teaching artist to help bring it to life!

The selected artist will develop an original mural for Fitzsimons and engage students from Aurora Public Schools’ Burrell Arts Performing Arts Campus throughout the process, creating an opportunity for young artists to gain meaningful public art experience.

This , we’re spotlighting ONECHO aka Juancho and his vibrant mural for Legacy Partners’ Metro Center community in Aurora. Inspired by a red-tailed hawk the artist saw during his first site visit, the work explores themes of vision, protection, and the connection between sky and earth.

Drawing from Andean cosmovision (an Indigenous philosophy that understands the universe as a living, interconnected web) and Ute tapestry designs, Onecho translated the hawk’s movement and spirit into a bold geometric composition that wraps the building and animates the streetscape. Visible from both the A Line and the surrounding sidewalks, the mural brings energy, color, and a sense of place to this growing neighborhood, meanwhile honoring the ancestral knowledge carried through generations.

We’re excited to be supporting Sijia Chen Studio on a forthcoming installation entitled “Life Tower” for Denver Fire Station 40, a future Denver Public Art piece, located in the Montbello/Green Valley Ranch neighborhood. Through her program, “Shared Vision,” Sijia’s team has hired emerging local artists Jessica Gerome and Aisha Renee to create unique panel designs that will become part of the final sculpture.

✨ A little history, a little science, and a lot of personality!

For Colorado School of Mines’ new Lookout Apartments, artist Blaine Fontana of Fontana Studios created Murmur Möbius, a vibrant mural inspired by the intersections of science, technology, and discovery. Nearby, a custom gallery wall tells the school’s through vintage photography, archival materials, original artworks, and found objects.

Headed to the Golden Fine Arts Festival this weekend? Stop by the Golden Hotel on Saturday to join us for a community painting workshop! Visitors are invited to paint their own Colorado wildflowers on spurs that will be displayed inside the hotel’s guest rooms.

All skill levels are welcome! Paint freehand, use a stencil, or simply watch. Ages 6+ can paint a spur and coloring pages will be available for younger kiddos.

At the northeast entrance of Piper Apartments, visitors are greeted by Mary Coss’ Corten steel and bronze sculpture, “Emerge,” which bursts open into native branches and pods, symbolizing nature’s triumph within the built environment.

It’s the perfect welcome to Piper’s “Art Walk,” connecting the light rail to Marymoor Park and creating a destination where art, nature, and daily life seamlessly intertwine.
