This , we’re celebrating KX2 - sister duo Ruth Avra and Dana Kleinman - and their installations at !

“California Love” takes its name from the famous 2Pac song, which is also the LA Clippers’ win song. It’s made of 80 circular sculptures arranged to follow the song, with each circle’s size corresponding to a musical note so the rhythm and melody become something you can physically see.

“Game Play” lays out wall sculptures in the shape of a basketball play, with the the Clippers’ team colors marking the offensive and defensive players. Each circle was designed to evoke both a basketball and a ship’s porthole. With textural painting that gives the sensation of waves, the world blends the fluidity of basketball with the strategic depth of the game.

Meet Jonathan Imafidor, the Nigerian-born, Atlanta-based sculptor behind “Sentinel,” the anchor sculpture now rising at the Microsoft East Point Pocket Park!

Chosen by the East Point community through a public survey earlier this year, Jonathan builds monumental public works by giving new life to scrap, found, and repurposed metal. Look closely and you’ll find layer after layer of salvaged steel, chain, and texture, with pops of color that nod to East Point Parks’ bold new palette.

We recently lifted the antlers into place, and the deer is officially standing tall as the heart of a park designed for storytelling, discovery, and neighborhood pride. 🧡

Huge thanks to our partners at Microsoft, Skanska, and the City of East Point for helping bring this vision to life. Stay tuned for final installation photos! 📸

🎨 Community Paint Day at East Point’s newest park!

We recently hosted a community paint day led by local artist Ashley Bella, where 100+ neighbors and kids helped bring her mural, “Reap What You Sow,” to life across three sessions, with the Mayor and City Councilmembers stopping by too!

This design was chosen by the community itself, one of two concepts by Bella selected through 112 survey responses earlier this year. It’s a huge milestone after months of collaboration with Microsoft, the City of East Point Parks & Rec, and the builders Skanska and FS360. And it’s a privilege to see it come together thanks to the local community.

Thank you to everyone who joined the fun!

We’re excited to unveil “All Things in Nature are Kindred,” a new site-responsive installation by artist Vanessa Platacis for Kindred Resort! This 450-square-foot mural journeys from gemstones to wildflowers to mountain vistas, with a shifting composition on either side of that passageway that rewards a second look. The artist also has three wood panel works in the space, complementing the mural and encouraging further exploration from guests.

Vanessa shared that she “left a piece of her heart at Kindred” with this one. 💕 we’re sure grateful you did, and we’re honored to have helped bring this work to life!
