Last week, more than 650 arborists and volunteers gathered at Fort Logan National Cemetery to honor our fallen veterans by planting more than 90 trees.

This incredible annual effort is part of the national Saluting Branches initiative bringing arborists and volunteers together to care for and enhance the grounds of veterans’ cemeteries. This helps keep these sacred spaces beautiful, safe and welcoming for the loved ones who visit them.

We’re grateful to everyone who rolled up their sleeves and gave their time to honor those who gave so much. 🇺🇸🌳

Be A Smart Ash With Us 🌳

Trees take care of us every day. They produce oxygen, clean the air, cool our neighborhoods, and give our flying friends a place to rest their wings. They also boost home values, bring beauty year-round, and support our well-being and mental health.

It’s up to all of us to Be A Smart Ash. Plant new trees to grow our urban canopy, protect existing trees from pests and threats, and take care of the trees that take care of us.

“It’s a reminder, that sometimes, the greatest gems are the places that someone cared enough to uncover.” 💎

Denver Parks mean more than new playgrounds and pump tracks. They’re places where communities gather and watch their neighborhoods transform.

Thanks to the Globeville community, we have a new park! More than 10 years in the making, this project started as a stormwater basin and grew into a new regional park for the neighborhood.

It now includes a new playground, a picnic shelter with a restroom, an amphitheater for small concerts and events, a pump track, paths that connect through the full 80 acres, a nature overlook tower, restored landscapes, and a new regional stormwater basin that treats over 700 acres before it reaches the South Platte River.
