Motherfunk x oOYes: Retro Film Series at SIE FilmCenter

Motherfunk and oOYes are back with their retro film series! This series lets us peak into time capsules of the grooviest era in history and appreciate film in community. We all know we’re watching films at home on Sundays, so why not do it together?

On Sunday, April 30th, we will be showcasing a film that we all know and love- Austin Powers International Man of Mystery. This parody film may not be from the 60s, but it does cheekily play into the colors, fashion, and winks at the free-spirited nature of the time.🌼

The film begins at 4:30pm, followed by a happy hour to chat about the film and your experience. 🍸

🌀 Shape of Sound - IMPORTANT INFO 🌀

Hi all! We are very excited to be joining you at TONIGHT for a very special evening hosted by & Motherfunk.

Schedule listed below:

Session 1:
6 - 6:20pm | arrive, grab a drink, and take a seat
6:30 - 7:30pm | figure drawing class with 10 min bathroom / stretch break in the middle
7:30 - 8pm | clean up, make space for the next session

Session 1:
8 - 8:20pm | arrive, grab a drink, and take a seat
8:30 - 9:30pm | figure drawing class with 10 min bathroom / stretch break in the middle
9:30 - 10pm | clean up & head out to next adventure

Please arrive on time, there will be no late entrances in an effort to respect our model's privacy. If there is an issue, please email us individually at [email protected].

There is street parking around the Ramble, however it is the heart of Rino, so give yourself some extra time to park.

Please bring materials to draw with. Examples: A Notebook so you can keep your drawings in one place, a book as a surface, pencils, charcoal, etc. We will have extras if needed.

Please be respectful of our models and don't take photos or videos of them during the session! Please keep phone use to a minimum.

Motherfunk x Invisible City:
🌀The Shape of Sound 🌀

Join us for The Shape of Sound, a unique experience at the Ramble Hotel. Partnering with Invisible City, this sonic and creative enrichment experience will include a cocktail hour, followed by a n**e figure drawing class. This is a traditional figure drawing class, but with a twist- each pose will be paired with a different genre song, inspiring new ideas and inspirations. All drawing experiences are welcome. There are no wrong answers here!

The intention of this event is to appreciate the human form, hone in creativity, and experience something unique. Please bring your own paper and drawing materials like pencil or charcoal, and a surface to draw on like a book or clipboard. If you don't have materials, we will have some extras. No phones allowed- This is a n**e drawing class, please respect our models and create a safe environment for them.

The class will be split into two sessions. Session 1 is 6-8pm & Session 2 is 8-10pm. Classes are limited to 30 people per session, so please reserve tickets ahead of time for a guaranteed spot.

🗯️CONNECTION + NETWORKING SERIES 🗯️

Calling all women entrepreneurs, artists, creators, makers 'n' shakers once again!

We're excited to continue this series in Denver hosted at the beloved . We'll be gathering 6-9pm on Monday, February 20th. There will be yummy cocktails, wine, and non-alcoholic options at Nurture's bar.

This series is intended to bring women together in Denver to foster a community where we can grow, connect, learn, and flourish together. This space is to discuss and navigate the hardships and highlights of business, creativity, and life, as well as the opportunity to meet new amazing individuals within the community.

This month, we're focusing on the theme of cultivating community and and it’s role in creating happiness and success. We'll have a discussion, and then open the floor to everyone for thoughts and continued dialogue.

For this event, we are now doing a small ticket fee, which helps us fund these events in the future. There are only 60 spots available, so snag your ticket from our bio.

This event is inclusive of all folks who are female-identifying, non-binary, transgender or other gender identification. If you're wondering if you are welcome, the answer is YES!

🎞️ Motherfunk x oOYes: Retro Film Series at SIE FilmCenter 🎞️

Step back in time with Motherfunk x oOYes for a retro film series at SIE FilmCenter. Each event will include a happy hour and time to connect, followed by the showing of a unique film from the past.

This series shifts shared interests into experience together. Each showing is curated from a list of greats that shaped film history, so we can watch and learn in community. We all know we're watching films at home on Sundays, why not do it together?

On Sunday February 19th, we will be showcasing Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, a cult classic from 1970 directed by Russ Meyer. At the time, this was pushing the boundaries as an avante-garde and sexually liberating satirical film about an all-women rock band navigating the way through the seedy underbelly of Hollywood. Join us for this visually stimulating, campy melodrama, and prepare yourself for a wild ride.
