Regis University students enrolled in Father Fernando Alvarez-Lara's First Year Experience Writing, Speaking and Presenting course visited the gallery today to explore our current exhibition The Prospero Project by Ken Phillips. Their goal was to locate the Nile River in one or more of the tapestries. This semester, the students will explore the theme of sacred water in religious and mythological contexts. At a time when we are facing a water crisis due to climate change, we must ask ourselves why water is sacred and how we can protect it.

Join us This Thursday, February 26 for a
Flower Making Workshop from 5:30-6:30pm
followed by a Panel Discussion from 7:00-8:00pm

Join us for a conversation with the artist and experts about this exhibition’s themes of q***r memory and loss, the role of campus art spaces in representation, and the evolving relationship between LGBTQ history and Jesuit values. Featuring Kate Burns (Archivist Librarian), Dr. Christopher Pramuk (Regis University Chair of Ignatian Thought and Imagination), and Louis Trujillo (Gallery Director, artist and co-curator). Moderated by Mariana Pereira Vieira (co-curator).

Before the panel, join us for a hands-on, flower-making workshop to create a memorial bouquet to feature in the gallery during the exhibition. Supplies will be available and no prior experience is necessary. Workshop is limited to 30 participants due to space.

We have a new exhibition opening this week... It's "Pink Progression: Synergy" featuring art by eight collaborative artist pairs and trios... Stop by to celebrate the show this Thursday (Sept. 1) between 4:30 and 7 pm for refreshments and a chance to meet the artists... The show will continue through Sept. 23, with an artist talk at 7 pm on Sept. 15...
