This was Brandon McKenzie’s first time exhibiting his work at the Cherry Creek Arts Festival, and by the third day of our festival his tent was nearly empty. (We love to see it!) One fun fact about Brandon: in high school he took an art class with a gentleman named Brice McCasland. Does that name sound familiar? It should: Brice has exhibited at our festival for several years. This was the first year he was joined by a former student. (We love to see that, too!) See more of Brandon’s work at Brandon McKenzie 🍒🎨❤️

BIG NEWS: we just won the Gold Grand Pinnacle Award for Best Festival for the third year in a row! This award is from the International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA), the largest and most significant professional association for producers of festivals and events. The Grand Pinnacle is IFEA’s highest accolade, “recognizing festivals and events that excel in balancing all key elements essential for a successful event.” We are *thrilled* by this news, and so proud of our team, our volunteers, the artists who exhibit with us, and our hundreds of thousands of attendees. Let's celebrate!

Shout-out to the several artists from Alabama who exhibited their work at this summer’s Cherry Creek Arts Festival, including Chris Cumbie, who turns discarded objects into art. His mixed-media creations are the result of hand carving, painting, welding, illustration, whittling, assemblage, sculpting, and wood burning. See more at . 🍒🎨❤️

Valerie Walchek creates original ceramic pieces that explore “how hope changes our perspective despite our circumstances.” We love that notion, and we love learning what drives artists to create. See more of Valerie’s work at littlewolfceramics.com. 🍒🎨❤️

It’s difficult to look at Jonah Green’s mixed media paintings without smiling. He exhibited his work at the Cherry Creek Arts Festival for the first time this summer. See more at Jonah Green 🍒🎨❤️

Painter Jake Trujillo does an incredible job of capturing the landscape of the southwest in moving, beautiful ways. He exhibited his work for the first time at the 2026 Cherry Creek Arts Festival. We hope he’ll be back. 🍒🎨❤️
