Landing back home after a much needed getaway to the West Coast. Lush, familiar landscapes, late night dancing, fish tacos, family, the sound of the sea, border crossings (💔), $6+ / gallon and so.many.humans. California will always be home in some ways and I’m thankful for the spaciousness in Colorado that keeps me coming back again and again. The colors, natural vibrancy and salty air are close at heart, always. 🌲🌅🌲

Navigating the constant changes of life, I know I will be dancing and being close to nature and music as much as I possibly can. As we approach Solstice, I’m looking forward to sharing more time and space together soon. 💞

I am still basking in the beauty that was Saturday evening. Thank you to every person that brought your presence to the space or guided others to find it — the whole night was precious! Outside of the music and the sound system, folks kept remarking about THE CROWD. So thank YOU!!

Extra thank yous to Jay for throwing down an awesome set and having the whole room feeling the sound.

It is such a delicate dance in this human body, to learn balance, to accept the truth of one’s individual capacity. I find myself a bit under the weather with something minor in comparison to earlier this year, but wiped out nonetheless.

Time to rest and digest and continue visioning the future. If you want to be involved in any capacity, please reach out. (I find promotion/social media particularly draining, so if anyone wants to support in that way, please! 🪽)

It’s that time again when this one and I are throwing another dance party!! 🎉 Jay will be playing music as well as running the sound for the evening — all of which he makes look rather effortless.

I wouldn’t be who I am as a DJ (or person, really) without the influence of this one.✨

He not only opens worlds, he creates them with his impeccible ear, musical sensibilities and heartfelt dedication. I get to hear him mix and do music stuff regularly and it is always such a treat. 💎

So be sure to come early and stay late! He will be playing throughout and for sure closing the night.

This night will forever be locked in my heart’s memory bank. I had a feeling Denver would turn out, but seeing the room packed so early was a dream. These nights remind us of why we do what we do. Those moments of liberation and connection on the dance floor are nourishing in a way one can’t really describe.

As I was dancing that night, I’d look out into the crowd and just hear…“It’s a soul thang!!” And it is.🪽

Thank you to all the heavy lifters involved!! The gear, the rig, the room, the crowd, the flow of the night…it was so dialed. And of course to all my fellow dancers!! What a gift!

The genuine love I felt from friends, peers and strangers was just incredible. THANK YOU! 🙇🏽‍♀️

Denver-based DJ and producer Steven Dermody translates his roots in the late-90s Midwest rave scene into a versatile contemporary practice. His sets draw from a broad palette of US and European house, techno, and ambient music, moving fluidly through moods to suit the specific energy of a room.

Beyond the decks, Steven is a longtime fixture in electronic music culture as the co-creator of the Make Mistakes label and collective, and through his integral roles with the Communikey and Great American Techno festivals. His perspective is further shaped by an extensive tenure at Beatport, contributions to Resident Advisor, and work as a channel curator for DI.fm.

“It’s getting worse and worse everyday…” says a friend on the ground there. This is a call for medicine and supplies for the protectors, the people braving the cold and fighting this evil thread of darkness known as I.C.E.

Donations will be going to Pow Wow Grounds, a Native-owned coffee shop that is currently serving as a hub for the community, offering free coffee, soup and a place to warm up for allies and protestors.
