This is Episode 1 of a little project I’m calling Reclaimed. I can’t wait to show you what these beautiful pieces become next. ✨

For years, this bouquet has been sitting in the back of a closet.

It wasn’t made from flowers. It was made from brooches—each one collected or gifted by people we loved. Every piece held a memory, which made it feel too meaningful to throw away… and too painful to display.

Today, I picked it up for the first time with a different question:

What if it isn’t meant to stay a bouquet forever?

I’ve spent a lot of time believing that healing meant leaving certain things behind. But lately, I’m realizing it can also mean giving them a new purpose.

So, one brooch at a time, I’m taking this apart—not to erase its story, but to create a new one.

Because sometimes the most beautiful things in our lives don’t need to be discarded.

They just need to be reimagined.

Life update! I am so grateful. It started with believing I absolutely could and someone seeing the potential and being gracious enough to collaborate and usher me through being an absolute beginner. Thank you Adam Byrd !

Then another friend made an introduction that led to being shared in . The feedback is that it’s very strong. Eeeek! I can’t wait until the right person hears it.

Then I applied for Not Til Now and got accepted and the story that I’m telling is SO, SO good and I can already see what it can become. Thank you Brit Stueven | Author, Story Coach, Producer for seeing the potential, your guidance and welcoming me on stage. Ticket link soon!

Last week I was grateful and blessed to hear the amazing Ann Marie Houghtailing speak and I couldn’t believe the timing… not only did she inspire me even more professionally in my career as a storyteller for a brand but I took notes and am applying it to my September first time on a stage. Also she’s so cool!

I read something this weekend that I can’t get out of my head. In Big Magic, Elizabeth Gilbert proposes that ideas are conscious, independent entities floating through the universe. Rather than you creating an idea, the idea “chooses” you and seeks a human partner to bring it to life. If ignored, it may leave and find someone else. I’ve # also felt inspiration that demands to be acknowledged in that moment. Maybe it’s a piece of art, an idea and for the last couple of years it’s been songs. I’ll jump out of bed at 1 AM and write for three hours. I’m the coming week I’m going to share more about my songwriting process.
