🎄✨ Hi, my name is Marybeth Reinke Doyle, and I’m the 2026 Denton Holiday Festival Association Chair. ✨🎄
I’d like to take a moment to introduce you to the 2026 board. I am so honored and lucky to work alongside this incredible group of Dentonites who volunteer their time all year long to build some of the traditions Denton looks forward to most. It’s not just one night of tree lights, it’s a full calendar of events and I couldn’t be prouder of what this committee makes possible:
🎄 Our signature Holiday Lighting Festival, featuring the tree lighting, local vendors and food trucks, rides, live music, performances, arts and crafts, and more!
🎶 We are proud to help feature some of the many talented Denton musicians, artists, and performers from DISD, TWU, NCTC, and UNT, as well as some of our beloved local musical favorites like the Denton Community Band, Uver, the Bret Crow Show, Lady Cass & the Fellas, the SnoTones, and more!
💡 The holiday lights and photo ops glowing in Quakertown Park every year from Thanksgiving through the New Year — a proud partnership with the City of Denton parks crew
🥂 Wassail Fest partnership with Denton Main Street
☀️ Yule Sizzle in the Sun, our fundraiser at the Denton Civic Center Pool
🎅 Eat, Drink & Be Tacky, our Downtown Denton Christmas sweater hop
🚗 Participation at Denton Arts & Autos
💀 Participation at Denton’s Day of the Dead Festival
Every bit of it is 100% volunteer-led, planned month after month by people who simply love this city, our fellow non-profits, small businesses, and artists and want to give Denton residents and visitors alike something worth showing up for.
To this board: thank you for your dedication, your creativity, and your friendship. Denton is better because of you, and I am so proud to serve alongside every one of you. 💛
