That’s a wrap on another summer at Water Works Park! 🌊
From exciting events to family fun, it was an incredible season to say the least and we want to give a huge thank you to the Denton community and beyond for spending your summer with us!! 🫶.
Join us as we keep soaking up this Texas sun and look back at all the fun memories and community moments we shared with you all this summer:
🥳 We kept things entertaining with our specialty days like National Hot Dog Day, Shark Week, and National Sunglasses Day!
📚Hosted by the Denton Public Library, 1,750 guests got to hear their favorite stories and make some splashes throughout June and July, at Splish Splash Story Time.
🎥 Sponsored by the Denton Parks Foundation, 559 guests enjoyed specialty-themed menus, kids activities and our giant wave pool at our summer dive-in movies.
⚽ In the spirit of the World Cup, we hosted our first Soccer and Swim event with the Denton Diablos.
🏈 Mean Green Football made a splash at Water Works Park at our annual Meet the Green event.
🎃 With Denton Halloween around the corner, we hosted our annual Summerween event with themed eats, drinks, and décor.
☀️ Our team of 165 lifeguards ensured the safety of our guests stayed their top priority, participating in weekly in-services throughout the summer. Our guards were so dedicated to their skills, that they won 4th place out of 45 teams at this years’ North TX Guard Games!
😎 Our Guest Services team of 83 Cashiers, Concessionaires, and Party Hosts worked hard all summer to ensure our guests’ water park experience was one of their favorite summer memories!
💪 Elbow grease and grit from our amazing Aquatics Maintenance team is what got us through the summer season. A true labor of love and a team we couldn’t be more thankful for!
Until next summer ✌.
