A few snapshots from our cell phone from Ellen & Andrew’s beautiful wedding day this past Saturday. 💕

Of course, we can’t wait to see the professional photos, but there’s something special about capturing the little moments in between—the laughter, the quiet smiles, the excitement, and all the memories being made.

One of our favorite details? Their sweet dog was part of the celebration. 🐾 When Ellen asked if she could bring such an important member of their family, the answer was an easy yes.

The weather could not have been more perfect. Bright blue skies, those beautiful “Toy Story clouds,” a gentle breeze, and sunshine that seemed to follow them all afternoon. Their ceremony took place in our white chapel, and afterward they explored the property for photos. One of the photographers mentioned there’s not a bad spot anywhere at Whispering Oaks for pictures, and watching them wander the grounds, it’s easy to see why.

Last night was one of those evenings that reminded us why we love what we do. ✨

As the sun was setting and the stars began to appear, we paused for a moment and took in the beauty of another celebration here at Whispering Oaks.

Some guests were dancing the night away inside the barn, others gathered around the fire, and many were relaxing under our pavilions, enjoying the peace and beauty of our private eight-acre property.

One of the sweetest compliments we heard all day came from wedding guests, the bride’s family, and even an out-of-town DJ who said, “It’s rare to see owners so hands-on and involved.”

That means so much to us.

Yes, we have an incredible staff, but as a family-owned venue, we truly love being part of these special moments. Serving couples and their families is something we take great pride in, and we consider it an honor to help create memories that will last a lifetime.

And one guest shared something we’ll never forget…

“This place feels like something out of a Hallmark movie.” 🤍

One of the sweetest parts of what we do is seeing our couples again after their wedding day.

Tonight, we had the pleasure of catching up with Shelby and Paul, who were married here last October, while they attended a friend’s wedding at Whispering Oaks. Hearing them share how much they loved their wedding day meant the world to us.

Our couples never feel like just clients—they begin to feel more like friends. Moments like these are a wonderful reminder of why we love what we do. ❤️

✨ A day of preparations here at Whispering Oaks Venue. ✨

Tomorrow is wedding day, but since we didn’t have another event scheduled today, our couple was able to come in early to decorate the barn and prepare for their special day. It’s one of the ways we try to make the wedding experience as peaceful and stress-free as possible—no extra fees, just a little extra time when we’re able to offer it.

A special thank you to Countryside Landscaping for helping us with landscaping and refreshing some of the uplighting in our trees. And a huge thank you to my brother-in-law and sister, Todd and Michelle, who are always willing to lend a hand around the venue. Today Todd hung the gorgeous chandelier in our chapel area and worked on our horse trailer while Michelle helped with projects around the property. They say it takes a village, and we’re incredibly grateful for ours. ❤️

Tomorrow, Jay and I will have the honor of holding the chapel doors for a beautiful bride before she walks down the aisle. Moments like that are why we love what we do.
