Race Recap
Our bad luck continues, track was muddy in hot laps so we couldn’t really base anything off that. Go out for the heat in 5th, get to move a row due to someone not being there. First start attempt the leader goes too early, second attempt leader sits still like a rock while the outside lane goes, third and final attempt the heat finally goes green and once again the leader doesn’t go so we are forced to fall to the rear, throw a slider on him in 1 and 2 and then next turn the timing belt breaks, night over. We will get it fixed and go back at again next race. Fingers crossed we can finally get the monkey off our back. Anyway, I would like to say thanks to all my sponsors and everyone who helps us at the track

Well, our weekend certainly did NOT go as planned. On Friday we went up to Sugar Creek Raceway to run stock 4 (pony) I was pretty quick all night, qualified 3rd, fell back to 4th, then I spun out and went to the rear. Made it back up to fourth and as I was working on third, the car caught fire. Well, we got lucky and it just got some wires. We get that fixed and on Saturday we head down to Toccoa Raceway to run with the MMSA boys. In hot laps I ran 9th (pretty good considering this was my first race with them). We make some changes to the car and go out for qualifying, 13th, not great. Well, I go out for the main in the 13th and we stay there for a while, then I spin and get clipped in the front. I line up in last for the restart, take the green and gain one position before spinning out again a few laps later, get hit the door. I line up in last again, but this time I don’t spin and I manage to get up to 8th, another caution, by this point I had finally figured out the line. We go green I make up to the 5th and as I’m working on 4th… car gets loose, I correct it, car snaps to the right, kills the outside wall, bounces off and then head on into the inside wall. We are gonna have to reclip the car, straighten the frame and make a whole new nose, including the hood. So, overall definitely not the weekend we were hoping for but we are going to try our best to get it ready to run this weekend. With that said, I would like to say thanks to all my sponsors and everyone who helps me at the track.

After last nights fire we are already in the works of getting the car back ready to run again tonight.

04/28/2025

Saturday definitely wasn’t the night we wanted to have but at least we brought the car home in more or less one piece. We go and draw in, we draw a 3 which ended up putting us starting on the pole of heat 2. We go out for hotlaps, car felt good just needed to drive it in to the corner harder. After hotlaps we leave the car the way it was and head out for our heat. We take the green flag and go off into turn one side by side with the 2 car, he gets the run off the top and comes out of turn 2 ahead of me, well going into turn 3 I drive off into the corner a bit harder than I probably should have leading to a slight bit of contact with the 2 car. Coming off turn 4 I hold onto to the lead for the first lap, skip ahead to turn 4 I go high allowing the 16 to get under me, I run high In one and two, bobble a little bit coming off the corner then right as I get it back under me I just get flat out turned by the 2 car, who clearly had no intention of even attempting to pass cleanly. Later on we hit a rut knocking the RR tire off the rim. We pull it in early and get ready for the main, we start 5th row outside and end up battling the track for the entirety of the main ending up with a 9th place finish. Overall not the worst night ever but definitely not what we were hoping for, at least we learned how we are going to be racing this season.

Thanks to all my sponsors and everyone who helps me at the track.
