2025 Festival Artist Spotlight: Saw Palmetto Arts

Saw Palmetto Arts is the fine art photography studio of Day McClanahan Goldsmith, a former biologist and lifelong naturalist from Central Florida. Through evocative black and white photography, Day captures the untamed beauty of Florida’s endangered landscapes while exploring the tension between wild spaces and expanding development.

Her work serves as a visual record of Florida’s natural areas, working lands, and historic landmarks—connecting viewers to the state’s rich heritage and fragile ecosystems. A portion of all sales is donated to conservation organizations protecting Florida’s natural future. Follow Saw Palmetto Arts on Facebook and Instagram to see more of her work.

The annual DeLand Outdoor Art Festival will be held at Earl Brown Park. Fine artists will be competing for cash prizes and awards, and a craft section will provide items for sale.
