What a spectacular wedding aboard the Capri yacht for Kayli and Josh! As their DJ MC, I had the pleasure of setting the atmosphere from the moment guests arrived at 5:45, playing worship music as they boarded the yacht. The ceremony on the Fly deck overlooking the intercoastal was a truly spiritual and special moment.

From the bridal party procession to the recessional music and cocktail hour entertainment, the playlist was carefully curated to reflect the couple's love and faith. The entrance of the bride and groom to "Come On Eileen" created a lively atmosphere, setting the stage for a memorable evening.

The ceremonial dances were heartwarming, with the couple and their loved ones sharing special moments on the dance floor. The speeches and toasts added to the emotional beauty of the evening, leading into a joyous celebration with lively dance music.

The cake cutting to "I Can't Help Myself" and the final farewell with "Goodbye Yesterday" created lasting memories for everyone present. And the private dance of the bride and groom on the Fly deck to "The Blessing" was a perfect ending to a perfect night.

Congratulations to Kayli and Josh on their beautiful union! It was an honor to be part of their special day. Dj Jerry O signing off.

Bat Mitzvah Celebration at Solo Mio (Boynton Beach)
What an amazing night celebrating Lily’s Bat Mitzvah at Solo Mio Restaurant in Boynton Beach! We were all set for the big bash at 7:30 PM, and as guests began arriving, I kept things feeling festive with background music—a light, upbeat tempo that set the tone right away. Hors d’oeuvres were served, the photo booth was open at 8:00 PM, and even with everything starting to fill up fast, the energy stayed positive and fun.

At the start of the formal celebration, we tried an entrance moment—but the dance floor area got so packed that we adjusted on the spot. I made the announcements for mom and sister, then introduced Lily with her entrance song: “Can’t Handle Me” by Flo Rida. From there, I kept the momentum going so guests could dance, Lily’s friends could join her on the floor, and the celebration felt like a real party—not just an event.

Later, I invited the kids to gather at the front of the DJ booth, where we handed out some swag, and the evening continued with heartfelt moments—especially when mom (Jayme) gave a touching speech. Once dinner was served, I kept the music a bit lighter to let everyone enjoy conversations at their tables. After dinner, the dance floor reopened, the photo booth was active again, and we handed out even more swag around 9:15–9:30 PM.

The candlelight ceremony was one of the most beautiful parts of the night—warm, emotional, and filled with family and friends. Around 9:30–10:00 PM, everyone also gathered to watch a montage that lasted about 10 minutes, telling Lily’s story from her baby days all the way into the young woman she is today. Then the dessert table opened, and the music kept the party going strong into the rest of the night.

A huge shoutout to the team at Solo Mio for running the event smoothly and for delivering great food and service—everything was on point.

Celebrating love aboard the Sundream yacht was truly unforgettable—there’s something about the ocean breeze, the glowing evening light, and the way the whole world feels just a little more romantic while you’re surrounded by family and friends. Before the ceremony, I set the mood as guests arrived with elegant background music featuring the Vitamin String Quartet, a Brooklyn duo, and Joseph William Morgan. When it was time to begin, the bridal party processional made its way into the ceremony space starting with Captain Pat, then the groom, followed by the rest of the bridal party, with everyone carrying that exciting energy into the moment. The couple entered and said their vows, shared a beautiful kiss, and for the recessional I played “Still Falling for You” by Ellie Goulding, starting right at the peak—so when it began, the cheers and smiles came instantly.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour while the couple and bridal party took photos with a breathtaking view over the intercoastal. Once it was time for the main celebration, I introduced the bridal party and welcomed everyone as the new Mystery Mrs. Dietz, then the couple entered to “Forever” by Chris Brown and shared their first dance to “Always” by Armen, Malik, and Calum Scott. Special family tributes followed with dances honoring loved ones—“My Wish” by Rascal Flatts for her father and “Take It Easy” by the Eagles for their mother—before guests returned for dinner, more dancing, and cake cutting set to “I’m in Love with You” by The 1975. Instead of the bouquet toss, the couple shared a heartfelt speech, and as the night came to a close by the dock, I played their closing song “The Sound” by The 1975, ending with my final message: “Thanks for having me as your DJ. I wish you nothing but happiness and the rest of your life together.” — DJ Jerry O.

A Perfect Island Wedding at Coconut Cove Resort & Marina
It was one of those Florida Keys days that dreams are made of—a bright sun, a gentle ocean breeze, and the kind of golden light that makes everything feel magical. I had the pleasure of providing the soundtrack for a beautiful wedding at the stunning Coconut Cove Resort & Marina in Islamorada, and it was an absolute joy from start to finish.

I arrived early to set up and set the mood with some laid-back steel drum melodies and classic Key West tunes. As guests arrived, the atmosphere was relaxed and full of anticipation. The groomsmen and groom lined up on the beach, overlooking the sparkling water, and I began the processional with Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years.” The bridesmaids made their way down the aisle next, followed by the moment everyone was waiting for—the bride’s entrance to Edwin McCain’s timeless “I’ll Be.”

The ceremony was heartfelt and intimate, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the ocean. After the couple said “I do” and sealed it with a kiss, I sent them back up the aisle to the upbeat and fitting “Forever and Ever, Amen” by Randy Travis.

Guests then gathered under the tiki hut and in the bar area for cocktail hour, enjoying drinks and conversation while I continued with a mix of Key West favorites, Bob Marley piano covers, steel drum tunes, and plenty of Jimmy Buffett and Van Morrison—the perfect island soundtrack.

As the sun began to set, painting the sky in shades of orange and pink, the bridal party finished their photos and joined us for the formal introductions. I introduced the bridesmaids—Cadence, Emma, and Emily—and the groomsmen—Devon, Christian, and Chase—before welcoming the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Hinchliffe, to a chorus of cheers and applause.

Dinner followed, complete with heartfelt toasts by Cadence and Ben, and a sweet cake cutting set to Shania Twain’s “You’re Still the One.” Then it was time to dance! The couple’s first dance was to John Michael Montgomery’s “I Love the Way You Love Me,” followed by a touching father-daughter dance to Bryan Adams’ “Everything I Do (I Do for You).”

But the surprises weren’t over. Later in the evening, I invited everyone down to the beach for a special moment. As Katy Perry’s “Fireworks” played, the night sky lit up with a stunning display. The bride and groom shared a quiet dance under the sparks to Luke Combs’ “Beautiful Crazy”—a truly unforgettable highlight.

The party moved back to the tiki hut dance floor, where I took requests and kept the energy high until the very end. It was a night filled with love, laughter, and the perfect island vibe.

If you’re planning a wedding or anniversary celebration in the Keys, I’d be honored to help make it just as special. Let’s create some magic together!
