Inspired by the artwork of Marina Kappos, create a layered and luminous composition with repeated forms, shifting imagery, and subtle vibrations to create a sense of movement and connection. Participants will explore themes of resonance, reflection, and interconnectedness through cut paper collage with intentional layering and visual rhythm.

Please save the date and plan to join me for a special Creative Sanctuary experience at the Norton Museum of Art on Friday, September 11th. At the Art After Dark event I'll be hosting two special soundbath sessions.

Soundscapes & Sketchbooks
An immersive sound bath and intuitive art-making experience...
7:15-8pm & 8:15-9pm

Slow down with the soothing sounds of crystal singing bowls, chimes, ocean drum, and other therapeutic instruments while exploring spontaneous drawing, color, and mark-making in a small sketchbook. Participants are invited to translate sound into visual expression through a self-guided creative experience inspired by synesthesia and mindful observation.

Inspired by the dreamlike and intuitive world of Eiah Haie, where symbolism, layered imagery, and imagination converge, participants will explore themes of inner worlds, memory, and wonder through collage, colored pencil, and mixed media. Through thoughtful layering and mindful making, participants will create poetic visual compositions that invite curiosity, reflection, and personal meaning.

Creativity Exploration adult workshops promote the benefits of material exploration and the mind-to-body experience. “Research suggests that experiencing art and creativity, even for a few minutes a day, has tangible effects on our mental and physical health” (New York Times). In addition to producing a sense of well-being, sessions expand participants’ perceptions of forms, while increasing brain connectivity through visual and cognitive stimulation. The workshop is led by educator Lark Keeler, a specialist in mindfulness education.

Please join me at the Norton Museum of Art this Friday evening for Art After Dark--Pride Night! I'll be hosting the Open Studio from 6-9pm and we will be making mini Pockets Full of Pride with a wide variety of fabrics and materials!
Pockets Full of Pride--Create a tiny wearable pocket or intention pouch filled with symbols of affirmation, gratitude, and strength. Stitch, decorate, and personalize a small keepsake designed to hold reminders of joy, belonging, and what matters most.
