Art inspires music. Music inspires art.

Next Sunday, April 26, don’t miss a truly unique performance of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, brought to life with a live onstage painting by artist Lance Johnson.

As the orchestra performs this iconic masterpiece, Johnson will create a new work in real time, responding to the music moment by moment. Recently featured at Franklin Park Conservatory and known for his onstage collaborations with BalletMet and other local performing arts companies, he brings a dynamic visual dimension to this already vivid score. His appearance is presented in collaboration with the Ross Art Museum.

Come hear music written by Ching-chu Hu (Denison University) and performed by Bruce Murray (Miami University), Tom Sobieski (Wright State University), and Dale Nawrocki (Central Ohio Symphony).
