Side Quest is officially one week into Quest 2- Dark Unicorn. The leaderboard is looking very different than at the start of Quest 1. For those investigators still following the clues to the Delaware Minotaur, the investigation has an offer, a clue in exchange for 10 of your points. This clue will be specific to you and what you are currently working on. The choice is yours.

If you would like to know more about Side Quest or how to start the investigation check it out here: https://escapecrookedcottage.com/pages/side-quest

Quest 2 has officially opened. Check your inbox - if you purchased, you should have your welcome email waiting for you right now.

Your investigation starts at Raven's Cauldron. Head in to pick up your packet whenever works for you today.

Already have a gamer tag from Delaware Minotaur? You don't need a new one. Look for the option in your email to keep it, or if you'd rather just tell us in person, let whoever's at the counter know you want to continue with the same gamertag as quest 1, and we'll take care of it.

The case is open. Go find out what's been hiding in plain sight.

We've been very quiet because we've been busy!!

There will be an update for Wizarding University later this week for you all, but a huge update on Side Quest. Officially, Quest 2- The Dark Unicorn will launch September 20th, you can purchase the quest now:
https://escapecrookedcottage.com/products/side-quest-the-dark-unicorn-single-quest

We whole heartedly believe you should finish Quest 1 before moving on, the knowledge you gained there will help your investigation begin in Quest 2.

Packets will be available for pick up on the 20th as well as your official welcome emails that will give you the option to keep or update your gamertag, all points from quest one will be carried over as a new row on the leaderboard (working on that currently).

We will see you out there Investigators!

08/21/2026

We know most of our Side Quest investigators are out and about on the weekends. Please be cautious in some of those locations as one of them is VERY wet right now. We love seeing you out on quests but as always our focus is your safety, please do not attempt to brave flooded locations. Here’s to hoping the rain gives us a long break soon.

As always, we will see you out there!

Wizarding University build update!
The longest part of the rebuild is coming to an end, the new walls are getting their last coats of paint and the furniture staying from the Laboratory will begin getting painted and decorated to better fit into this magical theme. Brooms are being crafted, creatures are being created, potions are being made, magic wands are learning new spells.. we are making great progress!

When we tell you these rooms are hand built, we mean it. The goal is always the same, every new room we create we want to be better than the last. Exciting props, puzzles that challenge you while still being fun and visuals that throw you into places you wouldn't normally see.
We look forward to you guys experiencing this with us and will continue to update you throughout the process.
