Occupying 8 spacious rooms in the historic Castle Inn in Delaware Water Gap, PA, Mix-O-Lydian enters a new phase in its history as one of the metropolitan area’s longest running recording studios. This quaint riverside town, a mere hour from Manhattan, offers a very creative environment for the production and engineering talents of the legendary man, who has helmed a wide variety of recording projects during more than three decades as owner of Mix-O-Lydian. Throughout its long history, Mix-O-Lydian has placed a particular emphasis on offering the finest equipment for sound reproduction, mixing and mastering, from classic Neumann and Sennheiser mics to much sought-after Neve preamps to the unrivaled EMT plate reverb. But a world-class recording studio isn’t just defined by its equipment and facilities. It’s in the expertise of the person “behind the board.” Very satisfied clients both past and present will attest to the fact that Don has two of the best “ears” in the business, along with the ability to foster a very creative musical environment.
