This June I had the honor of being selected to partake in the National Italian American Foundation’s 2024 Peter F. Secchia Voyage of Discovery. An all expenses paid two week trip that provides 50 Italian American college students across the US with the opportunity to explore their heritage. This year students got to explore Milan and the region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. I am forever grateful for this experience, I will cherish these memories for the rest of my life.
While in the city of Aquileia I had the chance to visit a local craft fair and meet local vendors and speak with them about their businesses. I even met a woman who makes polymer clay jewelry very similar to mine.
