Last week we had the privilege of educating our newest class of pre-pointe and pointe dancers at the studio! This started with a two day camp where our dancers were taught about the history of ballet and the pointe shoe, the anatomy of the pointe shoe, and how to sew the elastics and ribbons onto their shoes. We ended the camp with a special trip up to Ballera Dance where our dancers were fitted for their pre-pointe or pointe shoes.

Pre-Pointe: a transitional ballet shoe designed to bridge the gap between soft slippers and hard-toed pointe shoes.

Pointe: a specialized, stiffened ballet shoe that enables dancers to perform "en pointe" (on the tips of their toes)

Congratulations to all our amazing dancers who have joined the ranks of ballerinas all over the world, and entered the pointe journey! We are so excited to see where the road will lead!

What an incredible week it's been for our campers! We had tons of fun with our Encanto Magic Dance Camp! Check out the amazing casa Madrigal art they made before giving us a dancing display to "We Don't Talk About Bruno".

We had such a fun time performing for our Delavan community! A huge thanks to the Delavan-Delavan Lake Area Chamber of Commerce for giving our dancers the opportunity to shine!

A heartfelt thank you to the amazingly talented dancers, instructors, and families of The Dance Factory for sharing your incredible talent with our community during the Stars, Stripes & Street Lights Street Dance on July 2nd!
Your performances during the band's intermission were a true highlight of the evening. The crowd loved every minute as you filled the Brick Road with energy, enthusiasm, and outstanding performances that showcased the dedication and hard work of your dancers.
The audience was treated to a very special performance by members of The Dance Factory's 2026 Competition Team. These talented dancers learned their choreography last summer, trained throughout the fall, and competed with these routines in five competitions this past spring. We were honored that Delavan Chamber street dance was the setting for the final performance of these competition pieces for the season!
