🎨 Coffee? Check. Weekend wandering? Check. Art? Obviously.

ArtWorks DeLand is open 11 AM–5 PM, with some of our talented artists are taking turns at the counter throughout the day.

💧Linda explores fluid abstraction through alcohol ink, allowing richly saturated pigments to bloom, spread, and interact in organic, flower-like forms.

✨Patty B, whose stained-glass piece features bold geometric and whimsical motifs, with richly colored reds, blues, and soft opalescent whites catching and reflecting light to create a vivid, glowing effect.

🗿 JAW creates hand built ceramic sculptures that celebrate animals with personality, warmth, and a sense of humor.

✏️David’s artwork uses delicate line, subtle texture, and restrained color in his drawings to explore quiet moments of nature and familiar structures, creating space for slow looking and reflection.

And perhaps that’s the beauty of art: it can make us pause, make us wonder, and give us something worth sharing with one another.

Sometimes the best weekend plans are the ones you discover along the way.

ArtWorks DeLand is open 11 AM–5 PM, and you’ll find some of our artists taking turns behind the counter and keeping the gallery humming throughout the day.

💧Linda explores fluid abstraction through alcohol ink, allowing richly saturated pigments to bloom, spread, and interact in organic, flower-like forms.

🌸Patti D, through careful composition and a keen eye for natural detail, captures fleeting moments of beauty found in both landscapes and wildlife in her paintings.

🖌️ Sandy () artwork is inspired by the simple yet extraordinary beauty found in nature and everyday experiences. Through bold color palettes, expressive brushwork, and a keen attention to light, she brings gardens, waterways, and landscapes to life.

What happens when you limit the space… but expand the energy?

Find out at Small Surface. Big Motion., a hands-on abstract painting class where we’ll explore how to make a small canvas feel BIG.

You’ll experiment with:

✨ Letting color lead
✨ Creating movement with your marks
✨ Building depth through layers
✨ Using composition to make a small space feel powerful
✨ Brushwork, palette knife techniques & intuitive mark-making

The goal? A piece that feels alive. Not careful. Not tight. Full of movement, personality, and expression.

Whether you’re brand new to painting or a seasoned artist, you’re welcome. No experience necessary!

When you pour your heart into your art, sometimes you fall a little too in love with the finished product. ❤️🎨

Our artists occasionally have a hard time saying goodbye to their creations. We get it, Kim. We really do.

But don't worry! We won't put up that much of a fight when you find a piece you love. 😉

🎨 Who’s keeping watch over all this art? Our artists, of course! 😉

ArtWorks DeLand is open 11 AM–5 PM, with some of our talented artists, Linda, Jack, Adele, Jason and Pamela, taking turns at the helm, throughout the day, welcoming visitors, tending the gallery, and keeping the creative spirit alive.

And tonight, the gallery comes alive in a whole new way. Step into a world of texture, mystery, and unexpected beauty with David Malinowski’s new exhibition, Turning to Silence, opening tonight at ArtWorks DeLand. Inspired by meditation, Asian art, and the beauty of imperfection, David’s paper-based work explores the delicate balance between structure and spontaneity, inviting you to slow down and look a little closer. Join us October 9 from 6–8 PM to meet David, explore the collection, and experience where stillness, experimentation, and creativity come together.

Because that’s one of the things we love about art, it gives us something to talk about, something to admire, and occasionally something we absolutely must take home. 😉
