Friends, after 14 years of being a team member & coordinator at the International Exhibition of Photography, I have decided to retire. It has been the greatest honor to work with all of you. Amethel is stepping up to be the new senior coordinator, and I am confident that she's going to do a phenomenal job! I appreciate her and all of our photography community, and am looking forward to seeing how all of you will continue to make the Exhibition of Photography a great success!

As you know, time is the only thing we cannot buy more of, and I want to make the most of it. We are looking forward to spending more time with our family & friends, and to travel while we have our health. This is not goodbye... but rather a new direction for me. I will always have a special place in my heart & my life for the Photo Show, and I will always make room in my life to continue to be a part of it.

Thanks to all of you for being part of the Photo Show and for trusting your images to us. And thank you for your kindness & friendship over the years!

And it's a wrap! The People's Choice Award has been selected, the prints have been returned, and the Photo Gallery has been boxed up and gone into storage!

Many thanks to all of our entrants, judges, speakers, volunteers and Photo Crew for another successful year! Congratulations to all! We look forward to seeing all of you and your photos in the gallery next year!

We can't believe it's already the last few days of the San Diego County Fair and the Exhibition of Photography. What an incredible season it has been! Our last day of the Photo Show will be on Sunday, July 5. Come and learn from our wonderful presenters at our final workshops for the summer. It's also your last chance to see our largest Gallery so far with over 1,400 images!

We're already halfway through the 2026 Exhibition of Photography at the San Diego County Fair! We've had two weekends of fun, educational workshops and we've got two more to go.

Masks Not Capes! Super-Heroic Edits in Lightroom

In this action-packed double session, local Lightroom expert and nature/landscape photographer Alexander S. Kunz will edit your photos live, in real time. Armed with 18 years of Lightroom experience, he'll reveal how to harness Lightroom's most powerful tools — especially the masking tools — to bring impact, drama, and intention to your photographs. You'll see how these tools work across the Lightroom universe, from desktop to tablet, phone, and cloud.

Develop your photographic super vision and learn how to evaluate an image's strengths, uncover its potential, and choose the best starting point to enhance its impact, mood, and story. You'll also learn how to make critical refinements to prepare your images for printing and presentation. Don't miss this exciting mission — no capes required! Just masks and Lightroom heroics.

Sign up now for our upcoming Photo Shootouts! There's still a few spaces left for you for our Sunday, June 21 (Father's Day) and Sunday, June 28 Photo Shootouts! Registration includes a ticket for you to enter the Fair that day!

After the shootout, you'll enjoy live judging and announcement of the winners! All entered photos will be displayed in our gallery through the end of the Fair!

Participants receive a theme or topic when they arrive and have two hours to take photos with their digital camera or cell phone. Images are judged on-site and cash awards and ribbons are presented. Pre-registration required.

The amazing Eric Joseph is back at the SDCF Exhibition of Photography for his popular master class on fine art printing. If you're trying to learn how to make high quality prints for competition or exhibition, Eric is the best at showing you the process step-by-step.

Anyone can attend the workshop with Fair admission, but if you want a chance at being one of the lucky participants to have a 13" x 19" print made by Eric, sign up at the link in comments.

Hello Photographers! Are you interested in learning how the judging process works at the International Exhibition of Photography at the San Diego County Fair? Join us this evening, June 13, at the Veranda Cafe from 7pm - 9pm to meet our judges and learn the process and what judges are looking for during the Tier 1 and 2 judging.
