Rhythm moments that last a lifetime! We at Metropolitan School of Dance, Incorporated , LOVE the art of dance. Through a series of ah-ha moments at the OKC Tap FEsT ! The experience changed and elevated so many young lives with over 40 Tap Dance Workshops!

It was so awesome to visually see the articulation of expression for participants when they connected with each technique!
But that wasn’t all! The OKC Tap fest also presented African dance and hip-hop workshops!

You know you’ve done something right when we see the smiles that carry over, even after this annual event! So mark your calendars today for the OKC Tap Dance Festival 2026! Scheduled for September 18th through September 20 of 2026!

For those you who attended our Tap Fest and attended African Classes with Stafford Berry, here is a Master Class opportunity with Dr. Theresa Howard. Dr. Howard provided African Classes for our 23-24 OKC Tap Fest.

We always treasure our friends who join us during the OKC Tap Fest! Talented Performing young artist / dancers from across our state, surrounding states and as far away as Iowa graced the stage! All did a fine job in our Masters and Friends Showcase!

What a great time we all had. And what better way than to dance with NEA's National Treasures respectively. Mr. Reginald "Reggio" McLaughlin (hoofer) and 2024's recipient Mr. Bril Barrett.

A huge "Thank you" also goes out to visiting master artists Baba Stafford C. Berry, Jr. for his awesome African dance workshops!

Lastly, a Huge "Thank You!" to Oklahoma City Community Foundation , Kirkpatrick Foundation , Allied Arts OKC , Oklahoma Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
