The 10+ yo homeschoolers are designing and cutting their own Softkut blocks. Next week they will use them to print one-of-a-kind tote bags! Both girls were very careful using the linoleum cutters for the first time, remembering to cut away from themselves!

Artist Patricia (Patty) Bean gave a pine needle basket class today at the DeFuniak Springs Art Co-op. Pine needle baskets are crafted from the needles of the long leaf pine trees. Theses baskets are highly durable and intricately woven, traditionally made by Indigenous peoples throughout North America, this meditative folk art remains incredibly popular for modern hobbyists and artisans alike. Future classes are offered and made available to register on the galleries website.
