Today's prompt : Radio
Saregama carvaan is such a beautiful radio! It was my dream to buy the white carvaan for dad and side gap la for myself. This dream came true last year, gifted it to my dad (it was from B too), he was so so so happy seeing the carvaan. I wasn't home much afterwards so i got to enjoy the carvaan a bit only, but i LOVED it. Beautiful to look at and listen to, the stored songs are golden and the FM is my fav. Thanks Mandakini for choosing this prompt, brought back a lot of memories. Here i have tried to sketch the brown carvaan.

Today's prompt : Vase
Last min post 😅 i just have 2 more mins for the deadline.
Followed draw with shiba tutorial for this vase still life. I loved painting this one. Thank you shiba for clear steps.
I have been learning a lot via the daily prompts after i decided to stick with watercolours 😁

Found this pic in Amazon 🙈 then i kept searching for stock pics, but nothing called to me like this one did. How beautiful would it be to have an elephant door knocker 🤩 this one was so beautiful 💕 i hope i did justice to its illustration 😇

Today's prompt : Telephone
We used have one red telephone/landline in dad's shop. Try as i might, i am unable to remember how the dial looked 🤯
Nostalgia is full on though, how for every five minutes the phone would ring and we would answer, "hello, solunga, ama Sundaram pharmacy dhan" "doctor pakanungala" 😅 and pranking anybody & everybody before the phone number display screen/box was found, Finding that # means redial! To think that now i can't even remember how the dial looked 🤦🏽‍♀️

Today's prompt : Street lamp
I loveeee street lamp paintings, especially ones done in a winter landscape! I loved painting this one today, it was done following a tutorial by
The flowers were tougher than the streetlamp 🙈 and i am not sure if this pic shows the wash i gave for sky using cobalt blue!
Inktober is amazing and challenging isn't it 🙈☺️ thanks Mandakini for the interesting prompts, am learning a lot.

Today's prompt : Any Musical Instrument, i chose Nadhaswaram
Every tamil wedding, functions and Temple functions wouldn't be complete without Tavil and Nadhaswaram kacheri.
We hail from Sivagangai (chettinadu) and every year during the Durgai amman (Goddess Durga) padaippu festivel there will be kacheri(s) throughout that week and folk dance/drama. From my childhood , till now, has been filled with nadhaswaram sounds. Its quite odd not attending the temple festival this year due to covid, and there is this indescribable hole in my heart. Its odd that i wasn't able to visit my favorite temples this year, after our wedding. Waiting for the day that we would be able to celebrate the goddess with Pongal and maa vilakku (lamp made with gram flour), parade's with lamps and horse statues (parai). 🤞
Also i have never learnt any music instrument in this incarnation 🙈 the last time i held a music instrument was in 6th grade for our school's band selection 😂 i wasn't selected obviously 😇☺️

Today's prompt : Chair
Immediately remembered my sweet friend an amazing architect. I love her works, interior decor ideas and i still remember the amazing modern furniture she had shared with us a few months back. That was the inspiration for the second chair.
The first one is a usual high back chair which features in my novel reading dreams 😂
Since we came home late today i just sketched these in 10 mins 😅 didn't want to miss even one day!
PS : First one is my kinda chair, whereas the second is hubby's fav! He will just live in it, if he gets his hands on one such furniture!!

Today's prompt : Oil lamp 🧞‍♂️
Immediately 'Arikken vilakku' came to my mind. That's how Hurricane lamp is called in our native ☺️
I love today's work. At one point i wanted to set the sketchbook book aside and sleep, for years. But then i got some other works done and continued painting.
I believe my attention span has improved with this painting today 🙈
I loved my initial pencil sketch and didn't want to color! And when it was close to completion, i totally fell in love with it.

This was done referring tutorial. Thank you so much for the wonderful video.

Today's Prompt is Car. 🚘
Felt like trying watercolours today. After a longgg day i sat down to see what prompt it was today. And eventhough i wanted to do watercolours i was terrified to hold the brush. It has been months since i touched a brush and i almost quit the inktober challenge.
Then i told myself, ok participating, posting etc or not, let me just enjoy the watercolours. So took out my zue ting brush and an hour passed by so peacefully 💕 i simply love watercolours. They give me immense joy 🥰 and today i created a snowed in car with some Christmas trees.
Hope your inktober is going well ☺️, saw so many beautiful fish illustrations from yesterday inktober prompt. Good to see so many non-artists participating too 💜

Today's Prompt is Camera. I wasn't sure what medium to opt for when i saw the pic which called to me in vector stock. Then after an exciting/exhausting day at YouTube creator camp i just wanted to sit and do a pencil drawing.
If you follow Mandakini, then you know she has a lot of knowledge on cameras and her photos are amazing, especially the daily garden pics. 😍 so it was no surprise that the first prompt was Camera. I have always dreaded drawing something with details 🙈, yet today I really enjoyed drawing this one.
So many works to look at. Let me go and gawk at them. Ciao.

Hey peeps!
Formally rebranding from ArchArtsCbe to 'Sʀɪsʜᴛɪ Hᴜᴇs'
Am taking some time to study art, without the pressure of consistently posting in social media.
Until May you won't be seeing much of my artworks or progress.
