We invite you to have dinner before the show in our dining room which will open two hours prior to showtime each day. Meals are by donation and include dessert and a drink of your choice. Everyone knows Dirk Harkins, right? If you don't, you should! We at the Deersville Community Theatre are incredibly proud to have a true American hero on our stage. Dirk, who ironically plays a Russian soldier in Fiddler on the Roof, is a veteran of the United States Army. He spent six years with the 82nd Airborne Division as a platoon sergeant. During a life-changing event in Iraq, the Humvee he was riding in was struck by an enemy IED, leaving him with serious injuries. Although he was medically retired, he continued to face the lasting effects of that attack. Since that time, Dirk has dedicated himself to helping both himself and fellow veterans by creating Operation Payback. The program, operated through the Harrison County Sheriff's Office, provides Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) to people who have suffered traumatic brain injuries. Dirk also hosts the podcast I've Got Your Six and supports and participates in many other veteran-focused events. Honestly, we're not sure where, or how, this man of many hats finds the time to be on stage, but we're really glad he does. So come see Fiddler on the Roof, and while you're here, take the opportunity to meet and thank a real American hero. We salute you, Dirk!

Much like the word "grace" itself, Grace Stetzik embodies kindness, courtesy, and compassion, both in life and on stage. A seasoned veteran of the Deersville Community Theatre, Grace brings her talent and experience to the role of Grandma Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof. In one of the show's most memorable scenes, Grandma Tzeitel appears as a ghost in Tevye's dream, urging him to allow his daughter, Tzeitel, to marry the humble tailor, Motel Kamzoil, rather than Lazar Wolf, the wealthy butcher to whom she had been promised. Through her spirited and convincing endorsement, Grandma Tzeitel helps Tevye set tradition aside and support the marriage of his daughter and the man she loves. Offstage, Grace is every bit as remarkable as the character she portrays. Talented, caring, and dedicated to her craft, she exemplifies what it means to be a true actor and a cherished member of the Deersville Community Theatre family. We are grateful to have her sharing her gifts with our cast, our audience, and our community.

John Boeckl is our next featured actor, and, honestly, it's hard to know where to begin with this fun-loving cast member! In Fiddler on the Roof, he portrays the Beggar—but if there's one thing John is always asking for, it's a little more time on stage. A retired engineer with a passion for the spotlight, John brings energy, enthusiasm, and plenty of laughs to every rehearsal. We're especially grateful to fellow cast member Grace Stestik, who convinced him to join the production. Grace, we owe you one! And John, we're so glad you said yes. Your love of theatre, dedication to the cast, and joyful spirit make you an absolute keeper. We're lucky to have you as part of the Deersville Community Theatre family. Though not yet a teenager, veteran Deersville Community Theatre performer Lola Nign brings remarkable maturity and poise to the stage whenever she steps before an audience. In Fiddler on the Roof, Lola portrays Bielke, the youngest daughter of Tevye and Golde. Her character looks up to her older sisters and deeply loves her parents, making Bielke one of the family's most endearing members.
Offstage, life imitates art in a charming way. While Bielke admires her older sisters, Lola has a younger sister, Katie, who absolutely adores her!
A talented and active young lady, Lola enjoys taking piano lessons and is preparing for the upcoming Harrison County Fair as a dedicated 4-H member. And for those who love fun facts, Lola says her lucky number is 22!

Our next featured actor has truly grown up on the Deersville Theater stage. Olivia Dean, who portrays Chava, one of Tevye's five daughters, has spent many years performing with us. We have had the privilege of watching her transform from a charming young performer into a talented young actress, and we can easily imagine her one day gracing even bigger and brighter stages. In Fiddler on the Roof, Olivia's portrayal of the book-loving Chava will touch your heart as she dances through her beloved father's memories. Will Tevye's little bird spread her wings and write her own story, or will she return to Anatevka, the only home she has ever known?
