I'm making things again! Upcycled things, that is. And they're for sale! Chronic illness keeps me from being able to vend at holiday craft fairs, and Etsy takes a big cut so:

I'd so appreciate it if you're able to buy something from me here and pay via PayPal or venmo, or share my posts. Tryin' this out even though the reach is a bit smaller.

DM me if you want one! Or if you want more pics or rough measurements.

US only, + $3 shipping (or not if you're local!)

Cats with leaves and yellow*** - $30

Cat in the grass (back is white with text slightly showing through) - $20 SOLD

Cats with leaves and orange*** - $30

Buffalo and wolves (taste of the wild) - $22 SOLD

*** The ones with leaves are made from walnut shell cat litter bags so if you have an extreme nut allergy they're probably not for you, they're clean but I'm being cautious idk.

Hi! It's been a while! The creative process has been slow over here as I've been extra limited by chronic health issues, but I just reopened my shop briefly for the holidays. There's a small selection of stuff on there, but I'm about to add a couple things and hopefully more soon, including this fun purple cat pouch! 😸😸😸
Also, my DMs are open for custom work if you have ideas.

More from this past month of illustrative gratitude journalling -- spiritual and emotional practice, inner world
* Deep meditation and silence with the stars, on Woolman Hill
* Visualizing letting others' energy and emotion roll off me
* My control part believing they have control over anything/ everything and how things unfold (from a session in IFS/ parts work therapy)
* Unfiltered journalling anger
* Discernment support from Melanie Weidner - Listen For Joy oracle decks. I've been pulling the Wait Rabbit constantly this past month.
* Practicing painting my emotions, the f**k around and find out method, see earlier post
* Feeling my feels, letting them come out my eyes, and feeling held by myself and something greater than me

Warm fuzzy feels of home and housemate pals from the past month-ish as seen in my illustrated gratitude journal, with big gratitude for this last year feeling like living at summer camp.
* Post-dinner chatting and resting
* My lil tiny home and the magic archway and path created by my abundantly creative housemates
* Feelin' the warm fuzzies
* Cooking together
* Climbing together
* Cooking together again
* Wood stove coziness
* Naps with my cat Raisin

Some colors and shapes and textures I made today with watercolor crayons. Trying to let go of control, perfectionism, and attachment (probably gonna cut this up and turn it into something else next). My new goal for overcoming artists block is the f**k around and find out method of experimenting. Truly so hard to let myself make a thing without actively trying to make it look nice.

I'm still feeling a bit distant from the things I usually create and post, but here's another creative practice I have been up to for the past few years: illustrative journalling. I end most days with an illustrative gratitude practice. I love looking back at my little doodles and remembering the moments more viscerally than from words, and this practice also helps me feel more present during the day. Here are some highlights from the past month!
1. Discernment at the metaphorical transfer station of my mind (taking stock of my life and what I want to keep, recycle, compost, dispose of, etc.)
2. Waltzing
3. Silly contra dancing
4. "I'm grateful for the sunny grove of trees I'm gettin' to know. Slow pace"
5. Roller skating
6. Garden work - clearing out burdock
7. Preparing to sew my shorts
8. Sewing
9. More waltzing!

I've been feeling a bit uninspired in upcycling and watercolor world, but my housemate asked if I would make them pants! So I scooped up a McCall's pattern from and practiced with shorts for myself and gosh it took 3+ days but I learned a lot and I'm proud of them.

Painted 6 years ago today as a gift for some family friends. This is the night booming cereus in my childhood home. One of my favorites, what a wild and wonderful and aromatic plant! Each flower blooms only once, at night in the summer, and its scent fills the entire house.

SHEEP πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
If you love sheep and also the color orange this bag is for you. You can see the word sheep in caps on almost every side of this bag; we aren't messing around here and want to get the message across. Going live on Etsy soon!
Model credit goes to my fab team player housemate Jozi, they showed up AND dressed accordingly ✨
Might have to make one of these for our household despite the fact that we have goats and not sheep.
