We love the sculptural look of serpentine tables, especially in photographs. In real life, though, they are not always the most comfortable or convivial. Guests can find themselves turned away from one neighbor, which makes conversation feel less natural.

For this wedding of more than 400 guests, the grooms dreamed of everyone seated at one long table. Our solution was a continuous spiral of tables, creating the visual impact they wanted while still allowing guests to face one another and connect easily.

The result felt surprisingly intimate, despite the scale of the celebration. Guests talked, lingered, and repeatedly told us how warm and personal the evening felt.

Beautiful design should do more than look good. It should shape the way people experience the celebration.

The hardest thing about designing a ceremony at Wölffer Estate is knowing when to stop. The vineyard rows, the light at 5pm, the way the Hamptons sky holds color longer than anywhere else - you don’t compete with that. You work with it.
