“I was born on the Bog of Cats and on the Bog of Cats I’ll end me days.”

You just have to wait 14 more days until you can come visit the Bog for public performance!

Maria Carr’s “By the Bog of Cats” is the prophetic tale of Hester Swane, an Irish Traveller who attempts to come to terms with a lifetime of abandonment in a world where all whom she has loved have discarded her. Set on the bleak, ghostly landscape of the Bog of Cats, this provocative drama discloses one woman’s courageous attempts to lay claim to that which is hers as her world is torn in two. The main parallel between Medea and By the Bog of Cats is the way the heroine enacts her revenge on her disloyal husband. By the Bog of Cats is a furious, uncompromising tale of greed and betrayal, of murder and profound self-sacrifice.

Come out and see the 2026 DPJH One Act Play: “By the Bog of Cats”:
- Public performance 10/23/26 at 7pm in the DPJH Girls Gym.
- Junior High One Act Play Competition 11/7/26 starting at 11am. DPJH Performs 4th at 2:00pm. 🦢🔪💍💀

Happy closing to the cast and crew of production of “Matilda”!

I am so proud of all of the super talented students involved in this production but specifically want to shout out the DPJH Alumni up on that stage. I love getting the opportunity to support you and continue to watch you grow as performers and technicians.

I know I wasn’t able to get pictures with all the DPJH Alumni, but here’s a good chunk of them. Proud always! 🤍
