Life is short and so is our time together.
Whether you’ve been a student in the DPJH Theatre Company for 1 year or 3, I hope you know this: you will always have a home in theatre, and you will always have someone here who supports you, believes in you, and cares about you.
I am beyond blessed to work with some of the most talented, hardworking, and dedicated artists I know. These students deserve all the credit. They put in the extra hours. They memorize the lines. They create the art. They make every challenge, every rehearsal, and every late afternoon worth it.
As I finish my fourth year as director of the DPJH Theatre Company, you might think saying goodbye would get easier, but somehow it never does. In fact, it only gets harder. Realizing I won’t get to see these students walk through my classroom doors each day, hear their laughter, or watch them continue to grow is the hardest part.
But they are more than just students.
Because theatre is a family.
And families don’t stop being families when the curtain closes.
Thank you for spending these years with me and more than anything, thank you for sharing your talents with me and with the world.
Never stop creating. Let your light shine and continue making the world a little brighter.
As the 2025–2026 school year comes to a close, we say goodbye to another unforgettable chapter and celebrate a year full of incredible memories.
This season brought so much joy, growth, and creativity. From taking home 1st at the Jr High One Act Play Competition with “Maelstrom”, to our Christmas double feature of “10 Ways to Survive the Holidays” and “The Most Amazing Christmas Play”, to diving into mystery with “The 39 Steps”, and finally wrapping it all up by “hanging” around together in “Witches!? In Salem?!”
None of this would have been possible without the heart, dedication, and talent of every student who brought these stories to life. Your passion is what makes this program thrive. Thank you for sharing your light with me.
And where ever life takes you, always remember:
There is magic in the theatre and theatre is magic. Blessed are those who share their talents with others.
I love you all.
