Hey Everyone ! Long time - no see .......
With great sadness, I must tell you that "The 360 Band" has faded off onto that " Great Gig In The Sky ".
I just wanted to say THANK YOU ALL so much for all the support and kindness on our " 360 Band - World Tour "
We traveled the globe far and wide...... well... at least from Forsyth to Effingham and many points in between ;)
From our first show at the Bethany Depot in 2012 to our semi-regular appearances at Sliderz in Long Creek, The Landing in Sullivan, Sweepers in Arcola, and Elmer's in Decatur.... The Route 45 Wayside in Pesotum to the The Bethany Festivals, South Side Country Club, The KC Hall, JB's Hideout in Blue Mound, The Chill on the Hill in Mt Zion, numerous Fund Raisers and private parties and the Honor to play on stage at venerable Lincoln Theater in Decatur.
You were always there for us. Thank you.
Some of you drove to Decatur from Lincoln, Effingham, Taylorville, Clinton, Shelbyville, and generally all over Central Illinois...sometimes in really nasty weather.... just to spend time with us ... Dancing and singing along with the Oldies, Classic Rock, Nashville and just about anything in between..... hence the "360" portion of our name.
From day one, we wanted to try and bring you songs you loved , but just didn't hear many groups play anymore.
We wanted to shake things up a bit and get folks thinking outside the box and away from the relative safety of the "usual standards " that everyone played. I hope we accomplished that to some extent.
We did the formerly exclusive " 360-Fire Drills " where everyone left their usual specialty instrument for a few songs and went and played a completely different instrument....... Good Times !!
Anyway, life goes on. Bob, Brenda, Ashley & Tim carry on in "Pizz-zaz", and Larry is still kicking in "The West End Boogie Project" Band.
You can catch them at the VFW at ML King & Mound Road, JB's Hideout in Blue Mound, and also at the Port Royal GastroPub at 2880 N Oakland. Hit up their respective pages for future play dates and locations.
You made us smile. We made you smile........
turned out pretty well for all of us........
On behalf of Ashley, Bill, Larry, Bob and myself ...
Thank you to one and all !!!
Take care and thanks for the good memories ....
Doug
