This young man raced multiple times at Almosta Race in cold and wet conditions to help out injured riders.

If your schedule allows go to this event and return the favor.

Jake

Many of you know our buddy Conner Harris had a crash a few weeks ago and is still on the recovery wagon. Thanks to the Stillwater 500 Trailriders for letting me and Russ put together a Poker Run to help Conner out.
Please join us if you can and if anyone is interested in helping, we could use a few people to deal at our 5 checks. Riding will be at your own pace, bikes and quads are all welcome. A park permit is not required to participate, but you will need to sign a waiver. Should be a lot of fun !!
Thanks KO.

Due to the ever changing features and policies of FB, along with the constant barrage of scammers and spammers, we have disabled the ability of posting to this page. The page will remain up so we all can look back at all the good times we had at this great event. The page will remain in an archive status, if the need arises or something comes up we can always make changes.

Thanks, Jake

UPDATE: we have found the 2017 results sheet aaaaannnnndddd...........it turns out that Missouri won the 2017 Border War with 9 trophies to Arkansas’s 8 & Oklahoma’s 3 (seriously 3?🧐)
Final Border War tallies- 5 each for Arkansas & Oklahoma & 3 for Missouri. I will note that Arkansas’s 5 wins were ‘all in a row’ from 2010-2014, Okies did manage a string of 2 years in a row though.

Some drama is afoot here at Wildcat Ranch, as Mary & I were putting things away and we added the last Border War star in place for Oklahoma to secure a tie with Arkansas....we noticed a missing star !?!?! Well, there is no star for 2017....I have messaged several to see if there were better memories than mine but nothing yet. We are on the dig for the team match ups and final tallies for the 16th Annual Almosta Race to see where the star belongs. Will it break a tie? Will Arkansas become the ‘Overall’ Border War Champs? Or will Oklahoma pull ahead for the win at the last second? Or is it just another Border War win for the Missouri riders?
Stay tuned.........🤔🧐🤷🏻‍♂️

WOW!, Almosta riders, you guys and gals went out with a bang!
Mary, the Almosta Lady, has finished the tallying and while there are still a few ‘checks in the mail’ she is sending a check in the amount $13,974.00 to Rider Down. That is an amazing amount for 2 days and just shows how generous the Almosta Family is. It is also a record for the Almosta Race. I’m sure Bruce and the crew at Rider down will put it to good use.
This years gate brought in around 50 # of food, 10 large bags of clothes & $700 that went to the Manna Center in Siloam Springs and another $700 to the First Christian Church in Gravette.
Almosta through the years that I started keeping records (first amount went to RDF & second went to local charities)
2021- $13,794 + $1,414.00= $15,208
2020- $8,423 +$1,190=$9,613
2019- $7,608 +$665=$8,273
2018- $7,694 + $363= $8,057
2017- $9,029 + $1,092= $10,121
2016-$8,127
2015- $6,839
2014- $7,521
2013-$6,227
2012- $7,627
Grand total- $87,613
Thank you to all of you that have helped so much through the 20 year run of the Almosta Race!

All 20 of the Almosta Trophies , thank you to Travis Smith & Jimmy Lovett for the loan of a few that we were missing. All trophies are one of a kind from year to year. We started t-shirts in 2006 so the second picture is of every Almosta t-shirt. Memories....

2020 brought challenges to everyone. One challenge we faced was the team draw. Here is a short video of the Almosta Lady Mary pushing the button. I zoomed in so you can see the names at the top of the list. (Todd York was peeking so we shuffled them a couple times so he couldn’t see)
