Another spring weekend--- another spring event!

Edison Candle Company and Practical Magick will be at the Alabama Scottish Highland Games at POint Mallard Park in Decatur AL--- a unique event in itself!! Saturday and Sunday

Lori Rhodes Jewelry & Twisted Goat Soaps will be at the North Arts Council's Spring in Gardendale AL at the Civic Center, Saturday

It seems we get about half of our responses TO us-- from the spam folder! Even emails that makes it TO the inbox-- may have its reply IN the spam folder--- so we diligently check both-so we wo'n tmiss anyone. You MAY be missing your acceptance notification!!

Are you itching for a Craft Show to go visit today? Starting to think about spring and Easter? Well if you’re in the north Alabama area you can head out to Madison Methodist Church! Their show ends today at three, and you will see some of the exhibitors that will be at the Jubilee as well! I am on my way to get a fix of my own!

Please note… We are not a vendor. We are just sharing one of the vendors flyer that has the information you will need!

HOWEVER-----We have edited this post--- to reflect some of the exhibitors we that saw yesterday-- who will also be at the Jubilee in 3 months!!! (Thanks to the Madison Methodist CHurch for the photos!)

Well!!! After our first jury session--- we are FULL on the INDOOR spaces---Unless we are able to use a side room!! (they have large windows!) When applying--- there is a box to check-- if you are willing to take an outdoor booth, should an indoor space not come open. We knew we were getting a LOT of response---but man---to say its been overwhelming is an understatement!!

A few categories are already full.... we can't even take crochet/knitted items if its just a part of what you do--- as we have a waitlist & some we cannot take at all due to too much duplication.

We DO still take applications-- with the following categories being the exception. For the categories that are 'mostly full'-- we will be looking for unique and unusual things.

FOLLOWING CATEGORIES ARE FULL: CROCHET/KNITTING, 3D/LASER, WREATHS/DOOR DECOR, BIRDHOUSES, FREEZE-DRIED FOODS, POPCORN, FACE PAINTING. FOLLOWING CATEGORIES ARE MOSTLY FULL: WOODWORKING, SEWING, JEWELRY, SOAP AND CANDLES. EMAIL US W/PHOTOS TO INQUIRE ABOUT ELIGIBILITY.

What we ARE looking for: honey, leather belts, photography, t-shirts that are custom designed (not purchased ready-made decals), pet treats & products, a caricature artist, children;s toys that are not 3D printed, outdoor games, weaving, floral arrangements and pottery.

We don't take food trucks, but we do have booths where both ready to eat& canned foods are available.

We are just amazed at all the wonderful offerings that have been submitted so far---and looking towards a fantastic show in just 3 months!!!

In just a couple of days---- we will have our first slate of exhibitors for this year's Alabama Jubilee Hot Air Balloon Classic!!!! TONIGHT--- is the deadline for our early bird pricing----so--- if you've been thinking about it--- now's your time to act!!!

While the price goes up tomorrow---- we WILL continue to take exhibitors as long as their categories are not full.

In just a few days, we will have our first jury session and be sending out notifications on the 16 and 17th!!!

We WILL continue to take applications in categories that aren't full--- but we fully expect a few TO be completely saturated... and quite possibly-- the indoor spaces may max out.

We have realized since our first postings--- that we will have about 10 spaces that will be ideal for people with smaller set ups, those who may only have a table or two out front. These booths will be 6 foot deep (NO exceptions) and anywhere from 11-13 foot long. IF you are interested in those-- please note that on the app somewhere (doesn't matter if it doesn't fit with the section-- we will read them all). These will also be slightly lower in cost for an indoor booth. These are for people with one or two tables ONLY. Not a whole booth. If you've already applied & wouldn't mind one of those--- just let us know. The Arena has a lower, large section-- and these booths are on a raise platform-- and goes the length of the area. People will enter onto that platform on the left side with about 100' of steps going up to them, from the arena floor.

Early bird price deadline IS this coming Sunday, Feb. 15. There is NO jury fee-- payment comes after one is accepted. Photos must be emailed as instructed in the application or the app is considered incomplete.

We cannot wait to see what all everyone has for this year--- and to share it all with others!! Its going to be a banner year!!!

Another update on the new event center at Point Mallard! Several members of the Decatur Art Guild met with the park director-- who showed us around the new facility--and man! Are WE excited!!!!! I was there just two weeks ago--a lot has progressed since then!!!

We will have restrooms at the front and back of the arena--- the upper area will house our new Student Art Exhibit/Poster Contest winners... as well as the DAG member's booth. We hope to have artisans, artists & craftsmen demonstrating as you walk into the building.

IN addition--- there's going to be about 40 or 50 exhibitors OUTSIDE--- in front of the new pickleball facility on the nice flat area there.... outside we will have children's hands-on craft activities and hopefully---a special Memorial Day project!

The move to an air conditioned facility will be a FIRST for the Jubilee--- people will be able to drive over, ride our "Art Cart' or walk from the car show and cool off while enjoying so many wonderful creations made by our exhibitors!! We ARE strictly a handmade show-- and are proud to continue that 45 year tradition!!

A big shout out and THANK YOU to the DAG committee members who came out in all this cold to get a firsthand look at this amazingly large facility. The potential here for Decatur is phenomenal! We also want to thank the City of Decatur, Alabama - Government city council for allotting additional funds to get this project finished before the Jubilee! It is definitely going to be a huge asset to our city in the way of conventions, special events and so much more. There's not much like it in our area!!!

If you've been thinking of applying to our show--- we do have both indoor AND outdoor spaces---and a few categories are close to being maxed out. Those time stamps aRE important for determining whether you get in--or are waitlisted for similarly made items!!

We are excited to post our new online application! If you've done the show in the past 2-3 years-- you should have received an app link and a Word document app in your email.

The Early Bird price is in effect until Feb. 15, when all applications are due to be IN HAND (even if mailed).... we will STILL TAKE APPLICATIONS after Feb 15, there will just be a $25 late fee. We will have an ongoing jury process as applications comes in after the initial date.

Having an indoor, air conditioned option this year has already increased applications-- so you'll want to get your app in as soon as possible-- as we DO use time stamps to determine tie breakers.

If you've ever wanted to BE a part of the Jubilee, but you don't have a crafty bone in your body--- we would still love to have you as a volunteer or even a guest juror! Later on, we will be sharing information as to how teens can earn community service hours for scholarship considerations via the United Way. Whether its an adult or a teen-- the Jubilee is a FUN way to volunteer!!

If you've been debating applying to the Jubilee's craft show--- our applications will be coming out at the first of the week!!!! We are soooooo excited--- as we will be offering both indoor and outdoor booths for the first time ever!!! THere are still some details to iron out as we get closer to time--- but for now, we are just jubilant-- no pun intended. Well--- why not? haha!!!

Indoor spaces, expected to be 10x12, will be $125, outdoor spaces, expected to be 12x15, will be $100. This is subject to change--- as far as booth space sizes goes.

Air conditioned indoor spaces will be first come, first serve. Due to the new pickleball facility -which is next to where we will be outdoor-- has a permament restroom--which, if you do a lot of outdoor shows-- you know how important that can be!!!

We also have new things in store for the Jubilee too--- such as a revival of the student art exhibit and dedicated craft tent! 2026 is going to be a wonderful year!!!
