Thrive has been growing in size and production scope over the past three years since its inception. We have explored landscapes and achieved goals we never expected. On top of that we have learned the importance of our Thrive community, something we couldn’t anticipate at the start.
Of course, seeing our Thrive participants forging friendships, growing in confidence, and finding belonging has always been our aim. But we have also loved seeing parents and families connect and feel “at home” in our space. Along with that, so many parents have invested their time and talents into the success of Thrive. Their presence and participation confirm that community and connection are at the heart of what we do.
For this reason, we are structuring Thrive participation to reflect concepts seen in various homeschool co-ops throughout Decatur. Each year, our previous participants or members have the opportunity to make a decision to participate in the new season or not. After our Thrive families have signed up, we will evaluate what space we have in our program to include new participants.
While we love the idea of embracing new members and seeing new talent emerge, we also have to cap the amount of children in the program in order to maintain the quality experience we want to provide for our participants, as one of our number one goals is to make sure each child is seen both on stage and in their experience at practices. While we do not anticipate spaces opening up this year, based on the support and interest within our Thrive families, we will announce if there are openings for the public by April.
As always, we appreciate the support of our wider community! Your donations, interest, encouragement, and audience attendance means the world to us! Thank you!
